UGC Mission Design

Hi, I just joined the forums and today I was playng infamous 2 testing my UGC missions, when all of a sudden my sound went off, I turned up the volume on my TV and nothing. I turned off the game and checked it again, and it never resolved itself, I looked this up on infamous forums, and there's this one thread saying to delete the  Game Data Utility, and reinstall it. The members told the person all Save Data Utility would be saved , I assumed this would mean UGC as well. I went with it and I believe I payed the price.

After a few minutes of reinstalling the Game Data Utility, I looked at the game checked for the sound and it was back, fixed. Unfortunetely, another problem occured with all my UGC missions that I Published and still working on were deleted from the account. I was shocked in awe, as all that hard work and effort were somewhat wasted? Although I searched my missions in UGC and they appear to be still alive, however I cannot edit them, the Remix option was available only, I was even able to rate it and gain experience.

I would like to know, is there a way to recover those UGC missions that were on my account, not just published, the ones I didn't publish as well. I'm aware of customer support, but I don't know where to start, this sort of thing is a rare occasion for me, and I wouldn't like the hours spent on working on the UGC for naught. Sorry to say this. If you lose your game data your unpublished UGC is gone and you lose ownership of your published missions. If you used the Data Backup Utility to back up your game data to an external drive you should be able to recover them. bnf said he used this when he swapped hard drives in his system and it worked as expected. I used the data backup utility before a system failure but the data only restores to the system that created it so my game data died with my PS3. I feel your pain.

It's okay, I really don't care about most of my published mission, I was working on a storyline mission that was really complex. I mostly cared about those because there's a lot of text. I was distraught a little yesterday, but I had to suck it up, because technically it's my fault for not seeing this, I'll simply have to make new ones again. Thank you for your reply, when I manage to make new missions I will be back and with more new missions lol . But thank you, I'll be okay now.
