Also, a "My Author Profile" link would be nice.
I just noticed the "Profile" link under "Community." Was that always there? Anyway, disregard my suggestion. ![]()

Yea, that was always there. So how did you get to your profile page?

Overall I'm satisfied with what's presented in game for the UGC abilities, but the potential is clearly there to expand on it later.
- Adding NPC Moving Vehicles
This is absolutely critical if you want to make chase missions as I do, as the existing NPCs simply don't run fast enough at their top speed to be challenging enough without some kind of gimmick to slow cole down.
- Adding NPC Choppers, Ice Titans, etc.
Right now the enemy count in the UGC doesn't really match what we encounter in game. I wonder if this restriction was put in place to keep the enemies from being revealed too early in the game for those playing UGC instead of the main story. In either case, I hope they show up in the NPC list in the near future.
- Adding better search and organization features.
When you've completed the main story, and are doing UGC exclusively, it becomes apparent fairly quickly that the features in place need to be enhanced. For example:
Allow players to launch missions from the map.
Show a list of missions under the UGC menu section.
Allow players to search friends missions.
Allow players to See More by This Publisher.
Show a notification or alert when a favorited publisher releases a new level. (This would be amazing)
It should not be as difficult as it is to share levels with friends. This last feature request however I realize is asking alot, as it's not a simple addition our NPC or tool roster, but a request for a fairly significant addition to the feature set. Still, I think it's merited given how much potential the UGC editor has. It's just being slightly stifled by the inconvenience right now. But it seems that all the polish and time was put into making the editor as awesome as it is, so it was the right call. I just hope a patch can make it even better.

(Moving these from the other thread)
* The addition of InFamous 1 characters and enemies.
* The ability to copy and paste groups. Say I painstaking make a platform from those platforming cubes. I want to be able to copy the whole group and paste it again to make two identical platforms, rather then make another one from scratch. This should work with any group, whether it's enemies, people, objects whatever
* Combining all enemies into one category. Like placing the Militia minigunner into the Militia group and all forms of Swamp monsters into the same group.
* Building on wreck_em's request, the ability to copy and paste whole logic boxes and their connections.
* The addition of Hive Lords, Titans, Militia choppers, Devourers, and other large monsters. Maybe make certain settings for them, like how fast they move, how aggressively they pursue Cole or other enemies, and where and where not they cannot go.
* A volume setting that keep AI objects or Cole within It. AI controlled enemies and allies will not wander out of it under any condition, and if Cole tries to leave, the player momentarily loses control and is guided back in.
* Increasing the amount of object slots and groups.
* The ability to change the look of enemies so the maker can make clear distinctions between the same groups with different purposes. Like maybe change the shirt color of a Militia to red, blue, yellow... and the body suit of an Ice Soldiers to make it easier to the player to notice that the Ice Soldiers wearing blue are allies and the Militia wearing the funny hats need to be defeating to futher the mission.
* A spell check feature that automatically scans all dialouge and objective boxes for incorrect grammar or spelling.

Moving in my stuff from other thread:
1. Use of variables. i.e. Being able to use any parameter in a given object in any way I want. e.g. When Cole takes Damage, show a brief with $COLE_HEALTH which shows Cole's current health [maybe in %ge], or Change no. of enemies based on how much energy Cole has etc. This way we can have some "IF ... THEN ... ELSE..." logic rather than "WHEN ... THEN". Currently only way to do that is Checkpoints and not every mission works with checkpoints. A basic logic like IF ELSE needs its own logic box.
2. Grid, rather grids. More so with the jump glitch we absolutely need grid to perfectly align objects to create platforms.
3. Ability to create custom logic boxes and reuse them in a mission.
4. Ability to save created logic boxes or logic sets and reuse them in another mission. e.g. I implemented a Lie/Truth/Doubt mechanic in my NM Noire level as well as some evidence gathering. I don't wanna do all that from scratch for next episode, should be able to "copy paste" it.
5. Comment system like LBP implemented in-game. I know search is already on its way, comments too, please?
TC, you need to go through all posts and collate them in one place. If it is hard to go through 6 pages to find out what has already been suggested am sure it will be hard for any dev loooking in here too.
EDIT: Two more things:
6. Many may have already mentioned it, but would like skins of characters from 1st game as well as the comic. On top of that, allow creators to force players use a particular skin. This way the UGC community can make inFamous0.5 - The Kessler Years. I've seen enough creativity from folks here to believe that they can do a really good job making a whole game like that.
7. Something like Phone Booth of LBP. Now, this is something more than what LBP does. You can set up camera at specific points of your mission and set triggers, maybe camera chooses best pov to shoot the action. Once pics of in-mission footage are taken, those pics are processed through a comic book filter. Now, user can place speech bubbles and voila - A comic book version of your mission is read. So, UGC is no longer a game/mission creation tool, but also a comic creation tool and it fits the theme of inFamous.

read half of this thread and all i can say is like to see almost all the suggestions in the game, so make it happen.

I am surprised no one said this but I would like the Mortar the Miltia use in the mission''Storm the Fort'' ,use just like a regular MG Turret is used.
Or is it really in the UGC but I did not see it?

It would be pretty cool in my opinion if you had the option of deleting things from New Marias (Like buildings) so you could have space to build another structure in there.

* Ability to show the perimeter of a volume on the minimap and have an invisible barrier or something like that to restrict players access out of the perimeter.
* Titans, Devourers, and Hive Lords. Hive lords not so much as they are almost the same as a ravager.
* Abiblity to choose whether an enemy will shoot you or melee you. I am not sure whether this is possible.
* UGC filter for friends
* Play missions from the map without going to them.
