Has anyone started playing crushing, changed the difficulty on some bits to hard and then put back to crushing and got crushing trophy!

I was playing this on crushing and got stuck on some bits so lowered the difficulty but put back to crushing on final boss now im gutted cos I didnt get the trophy!!

Has anyone else done this?

Nope, playing the full game on Crushing ... at chapter 19 now .

The train boss got on my nerves but got through it

I got stuck on the monastry bit thats what made me do it.

Proper gutted now though!

Lol dude. So you're saying you changed the difficulty from crushing to hard ... and are then gutted that you didn't get the trophy for playing the entire game on crushing? What exactly did you expect? It's like saying "Well I started this marathon and ran the first 500 yards ... then I caught a taxi to the end and ran the last 500 yards ... but the organisers won't give me my winners trophy even though I crossed the line first... gutted".

Anyway, nope, I earned the crushing trophy playing the full game with no difficulty changes. At first I was like "What the hell" when I died so quickly but as soon as I learnt my tolerance it wasn't that tough. Only the train part (leading up to the boss after the helocopter) gave me a few restarts, otherwise not that bad. Otherwise used a lot of 1-hit-kill pistols (like the WES) and stealth kills.

I'm not too sure about this but you may be able to do chapter select and do remaining mission in Crushing to get the trophy.

Yep. Just go back and do any chapters which say 'Completed on hard' and do them in curshing. I think you'll then need to do chapter 26 at the end in crushing to get the trophy.

But at least you don't need to do the whole game in crushing again.

I would say that the snipers are your main priority take out the snipers before you do anythin then keep looking left then right left then right they always come from the sides

1 - Grenades are expendable so don't "horde" them (some people do)

2 - The shotgun guys are more likely to come to the carriage first so try take them out before they get the chance.

3 - Grab the pistole as soon as the scene starts, 2 blind-fire (or 1 aimed) shots will kill anyone who comes close

4 - Unless someone is right by the carriage always always always prioritise the snipers. Grab the sniper rife and take them out immediately, they're the only one's who can hit you from a distance (i.e. out of bling-fire range).

5 - Generally there are only 2 or 3 enemies on the "sides" and you have to move there to take out the sniper that spawns either side. Take them out at the same time so you don't have to watch your back, all you need to do is watch the main "big" entrance and blind-fire at anyone who comes too close.

6 - Look for and utilise any canisters. the guys on the left can be taken ont at once with a canister, the guys on the right with a grenade (if you're lucky)

do this ^ and dont use the sniper on any regular enemies because it then becomes very difficult to take out the snipers with the fal when you run out of ammo, there are gas canisters to shoot in the middle and blindfire pistole as much as you can if you pop up you die very quickly. dont worry too much about grenades, avoid them by 2 metres and you'll be fine. take out the snipers asap and your next priority is to kill anyone trying to enter the carriage. if they manage to get in, youre done for if you dont kill them fast. when you get to the majorly armoured gau 19 people just wait for 5-10 secs for elena, dont bother trying to take them out youll just get killed.
