While I am playing multiplayer sometimes my character freezes and an unplug icon appears. I can still look arround but other characters looks slow. I can't move or shoot. It happens for 30 seconds and then turns to normal then happens again. But  sometimes it never happens. I connect my ps3 to internet with an ethernet cable. I have other multiplayer games an it never happens in them.

I believe that icon that appears is related to the loss of internet connection. You can't move your character but others can because they are still connected. Sometimes it stops, others you are simply disconected from that game. 

I guess it depends on whether your internet connection is having a good or a bad day. At least its my opinion.

This has been happening to me for the past few weeks. I never knew what it was at first either and it was REALLY annoying. I just reset my router and PS3 and tried it again and it worked.
