For me this is GOTY ...unless Assassins Creed manges to be something incredible...from all accounts
it looks great but I dont think it could top UC3.
Revelations is Brotherhood with a different colour scheme and burkhas... AC2 remains the best of the series by far...

damn I was kinda hoping they would do a little more with revelations.
as Brotherhood was virtually an expansion pack of 2.

Ok, back again... ![]()
Has taken me a while to fully immerse myself back into U3 after a lot of ACR hours, but I finally started my Hard run a few days ago, and finished it. I was almost up to the part where Elena enters the game on Easy (was doing a treasure run and was going to do Hard and Crushing after), but long story short my hard drive isn't working to well, and in the process of reformatting my internal drive I've lost all my ACR and U3 saves, so have started again... (the last thing I have backed up to my pen drive is the save files that went towards my FFXIII Platinum)... and, on top of that, I deleted my system backup....
Anyway...
I've started fresh again, and have done a Hard/treasure run.... and.... I have to say second time around, the game has grown on more, having been better prepared this time... If you can get into a stealth frame of mind, it not only saves you some battles, but you get some good rare drops that are useful in the following sequences.... eg: shotgun pistol vs the armoured brute with the PAK on the ship.. And, with having a better plan and weapon choice for the djinn (tau sniper/grenade launcher/rpg ftw) I had far less problems on Hard than on Normal.
Crushing and mop up time... ![]()

I've starting thinking Naughty Dog probably couldn't out do Among Theives, without Uncharted 3 being... f***ing rediculous.
That being said, it's still a great game and a worthy addition to the Uncharted franchise with some spectacular set pieces, great action and an intriguing story.
The new melee system takes a little while to get the hang of, but Naughty Dog were very creative with how Nate would incorporate object from the environment in his punch ups.
The locations I was most impressed with were the shipyard, the cruise liner and the Atlantis of the sands.
I found the diffculty in the later parts of the game (from The Settlement on) to increase quite a bit and even on my 2nd & 3rd playthrough I was still getting my ass handed to me during those parts - perhaps I'm just a noob, I wouldn't argue against that.
There were a number of unusual trophies in the game: Combat Leapfrog, Side Arm Master, Rolling Ammo Master, which I can't say I understand. Perhaps ND didn't want to repeat themselves and came up with those few. I honestly think ND should've uped the Survivor trophy to 100 - hell, if I can do that anyone can.
