It's cool Infy, I'll post the pics.
GG H*R, some of the toughest games that I've played in while. Respect goes out to the whole HR team for not only tough games, but having good sportsmanship after the games and the loss.
Wasn't really sure how well we were going to do in this tournament. After the rules stated we couldn't have anyone who isn't AUS/NZ, then I had to find 2 people to replace both our best players Jersh and Chris. My first thoughts were Hasan-I and Rukuojin.
Rukuojin was happy to play but Hasan wanted to play for BTG (His clan) which was fair enough, I just figured I would ask.
So now it was Me and Rukuojin. Next in line were Zanz and Pyro. Both haven't played competitive U2 so I knew it would be tough, but both are competitive gamers so I was hoping they would adapt to U2 quickly. (Since both had to rent the game)
When the first round was posted, Ruku informed me he was capped and we were going into the first round 3v, me and Zanz and Pyro. To be honest I didn't think we would get past that point, but they held their own well and we managed to get through the first round.
We got lucky in the 2nd round since the dice roll to see who skips this round and go straight to the final went in our favor and BTG and HR had a tough battle to see who else will go into the final.
I heard things got a little heated and there were some words exchanged, but that happens in competitive gaming sometimes.
HR came out the winners and went into the final.
I made sure Ruku didn't get capped this month because he is probably our best player and going against HR we would need our best in. Last minute issues came up and Pyro couldn't play so it was again a 3v3, Me, Zanz, Ruku.
I was hoping me and Ruku could hold our own enough so make it through. Lucky for us Fury put the settings in the first 2 games on crushing which was good for mainly me cause I like to snipe and one shot sniper kills is always a good thing. (Though a few times people didn't go down in one hit.
)
Considering it was Zanz only second time playing competitive U2 (First time was against Buttonmashers in the first round), I think he did a good job.
He doesn't own a PS3, so I had to lend him one of mine both times, so I had to drive 45mins to drop it off, then I forgot the control, so we had to go to his friends house to get one who was 10mins away or I would have to either drive back home or buy a new one. Since he also didn't have a copy of U2, I let him borrow mine and I would go rent one from a Blockbuster 15mins from my house.
I went to rent it, but I had to make a membership first. I got there cause the guy on the phone told me I would only need a license and some bills with my name and address on it. When I got there he told me I also needed a credit card cause I wasn't from the area. So I went all the way back home and got a credit card. Mind you this was around 7pm, only 2 hours before the final. So I got there, filled out the paper work and got myself U2 for $7 overnight.
Stupid me though I only opened the pack when I got home... and guess what... it was Uncharted: Drakes fortune.
So again I had to go back. So I get there, I wait in line behind some hippy who needed to return some DVD's and complain that they didn't work. After he was done, I got my issue sorted out and raced (Drove safely) home and got some practice games in.
In the middle of practice though my luck runs out again and I get capped... I try to get on my optusnet (2nd connection) in my room but it kept DC'ing. This is at around 8:30pm (30min before the match was suppose to start).
Thankfully we are on Internode so we could buy data blocks and be uncapped. (This takes like 40-60min)
HR was nice enough to delay the start of the match to 9:20pm, and that then became 9:40pm after I had issues getting online after my net came back. Deagle suggested I restart the router which I did and that seemed to do the trick.
So finally.. after a whole day of trying to organize ourselves TEC v HR was on it's way.

Brief summary of the games.
1st Game: Sanc: Turf War.
We had a plan here and stuck to it well, even though they got off to a 0-30 start. I would take control of top and Ruku and Zanz took bottom. It worked well for a while, but Infy caught on, and even though I held him off for a while he and deagle started to take the top one from me, so I switched to bottom turfs to mix it up and that worked, so I went back to the top when they left it.
Ruku was doing an amazing job at the bottom with Zanz supporting him.
Result...
2nd Game: Train Wreck: Plunder.
To be honest after the first game I thought we had it, but to HR's credit they came out all guns blazing. Before we knew it the score was 1-4.
We made a decent come back to bring it to 3-4, but it was basically over after that. Now we had them on kills, but their teamwork was just too much and 3-7 was going to be impossible to come back from with 2mins to go.
Reults...
3rd Game: The Fort: Deathmatch
Now Crushing setting was no longer on, so we had to adjust to the 100% health again. I think what really gave us the edge in this game was Ruku having an amazing start and getting to 20kills before I even got to 9.
So a handy lead like that is a big deal in The Fort (Which is the new DLC map). Zanz never played this one, so we had to teach him as the match went on.
During the match Infy was either DC'd or left, so we got Zanz to DC too so it would be a fair game of 2v2 instead of 3v2 (In our favor).
Results...
TEC wins 2-1 overall.
GG to HR, again, it was a pleasure facing you guys in the final and I'm sure we'll meet again in future comps here on the PSF.
Thanks to Fury and the PSF team for organizing all this and giving us a chance to show off our U2 skills that we've acuired with a chance to win some great prizes.
GG everyone, good luck in future comps. And sorry about the long post.

Thanks for everything Ruku. You are a beast, and you especially showed it in the last game.
When I was low on Aussie friends for this comp and turned to you for help, I'm glad you did.
