Uncharted

I wasnt really a big fan of the Uncharted 2 MP but I'm loving this beta. The graphics look great to me and the lighting looks fantastic. The animation is smooth and gameplay is great. I love the maps and the custimization looks promising.

After another night of playing I can say that this game already works better for me than UC2 did. I can get into games much faster, i dont get booted out after every game and have to search for a new one. Everything in game seems a bit more balanced and the game modes are a lot of fun.

The killstreak reward things are fun rather than completely overpowered like some other games, I especially like the 2v2v2 game mode and high fiving your partner over the people you kill is awesome.

The graphics could do with a bit of a boost though, not sure if they are a bit lower res because its a beta or because its multiplayer. Either way this MP will be a great addition to what is already going to be an awesome game.

Another thing I really want to see in the final product, is the ability to import any skins from Uncharted 2. I bought all the skin packs, and if I'm going to be buying the final product of Uncharted 3,  I think old skins should be allowed  to be imported. If Games like MediaMolecule can do it, why not Naughty Dog?

I didn't like it at first but now im really enjoying it.

I think the main issue here is that people just don't like change. A lot of people just wanted the exact same game again. People ask for improvements and when they get them, they complain it's not enough like the old game. This happens with nearly all sequels with a big MP component.

Uncharted 3 is not Uncharted 2. Treat it as a separate game.

One (daft) comment.  Why does Drake now have an abnormally large head?

It also seems that 1 on 1 combat in this game is as pedestrian as it was in UC2.  So many times, a fight between two players results in them standing almost stationary, spraying bullets at each other until one or both dies.

Not daft, i was thinking the same thing, it's like drake gained allot of weight and it's making him look weird

It desperately needs a mini map tbh. I find my self wondering the map trying to find people.

I just played the beta tonight. My thoughts are that when you first play its like what is going on, there are these coundowns and music and stuff

after you play it for two hours, its still like what is going on, there are these count downs and music and stuff

does it come with an instruction manual

Hated at first, love it now. Just a few gameplay changes I'd want;

1)I wish they'd make the recoil of the AK-47 the same as it was on Uncharted 2.. I dislike the crosshair bouncing all over the place. I rather the widening crosshair with a vertical recoil. The way it is now the AK is virtually useless at a longer range. I could use the AK easily in Uncharted 2, a 'jack of all trades' gun like assault rifles should be.
2)The pistol is awful. Make it like the Uncharted 2 M9 (stronger, vertical recoil) and I'd love it.. the m9 was actually my favourite gun in Uncharted 2.
3) The M9 assault rifle on Uncharted 3 is absolutely terrible.. it's weaker than the AK, and the increased fire rate mod on the AK doesn't do the M9 any favours. Useless gun..
4) I'd like to be able to fire snipers over the shoulder again, the Dragon sniper is pretty bad as a sniper now and the bolt action has such a slow fire rate that it's basically impossible to use it as run and gun.. give us a bit more incentive to use the sniper rifles.

Animations and stuff I can hopefully rely on ND to fix themselves as the game isn't finished yet. Playing through Uncharted 2's story again makes Uncharted 3's animations look awkward and stiff. I understand it's a beta though so here's hoping...
