Unreal Tournament 3

First of all I'd live to welcome everyone to the newest section of these forums (at the time of writing) dedicated to the newest (again at the time of writing), most exciting game on PS3, Unreal Tournament 3. And what better way to kick off the new forum than to announce a new fun night.

Expect and hour or so of full-on fragging action, open to anyone who wants to come along and join myself plus a couple of other familiar faces in Epic's highly customable shooter. Customable being the word I must emphasise as we're going to try and exploit one of the games best features; the ability to apply user created content.

I'm going to try and make sure every evening we run with this game will feature some sort of wacky or interesting mod wether its a mutator (rule) or game type wether it's user created or one already packed in with the game. If you have found an interesting downloadable feature on the net then let us know about it here and you may see it included in a future UT3 Fun Night. As the game's manual states here are a couple of sites to get you started:

Which contains a handy tutorial on how to import your downloads.

But don't worry if you haven't been able to download the featured mod in enough ttime. All modded mutatyors and game types are downloaded automatically when entering the room. User created maps WILL have to be downloaded before entering rooms which offer them though I won't be using any at first unless feedback requests them.

Hey I'm flexible to an extent. A little impromt Sunday night warm up coule be in the running but it may not be regular, the main focus will be the Monday. But watch this space.

Starts on the 10th, couldn't do it tonight as had other things going plus had other things going on other week nights so it was best that it started next monday I also didnt want my night to clash with any other MVP events which may be running

I've noticed a couple of us playing this but I've no idea who has the US version or who has the EU By the way I know it's obvious when you really think about it, but unless the game is patched before next week you will need the EU version of UT3 in order to join in.

If you are thinking of mods the Elimination game types are pretty interesting
Not tried the Tournement one but it looks like a good game type.
