yep you are right IT IS A STUPID statement , go play COD4 or R6V2 if ya want XP this is UT3 and not any other game that needs xp whoreing to keep players addicted . the addiction is all that SWEET KILLING

It is a shame though that UT has no ranking system as it would have increased it's mainstream appeal. When you think about it there are a lot of online shooters nowadays that feature a ranking system and not just CoD4. Warhawk, Resistance, Halo 3, Rainbow Six and Enemy Territory: Quake Wars all have this feature where you start off as a Private and end up as a Major, General, Supreme Sexy Beast or something like that. It gives the average player a reason to keep playing the game online.

From reading OPSM's 7/10 review it really seemed that this was the main downer of the gaming experience.

Which is a shame as we all play the game for fun right? If you don't like it you can just lump it.

I think thats one of the best things about ut3 though, I know it would be more mainstream with a ranking system. But then the game would have tons of problems, people would quit losing teams, they would suicide rather than be killed. I think people just need to adjust their mindsets a bit for ut3, and have a bit of fun with it, laugh when you get killed and when you kill.. I think a novice has just as much reason to stick with ut3, I was playing team death match, and some guy on our team had -4 lol, nobody left the team because of him, we just played on, and i thought it was a great bit of a challange, and after 4 tries, we won... It was a great feeling. A lot of other games, that guy would have been kicked, or people would have left because of him. Specially on a public game where no one knew each other.. Its just a different type of fun i guess..

That's one of the best features about ut3 & as a consequence there's no moaning about stat padders, cheaters & the like on the forum. Kill, be killed & forget about being first or last. Fun, people...FUN.
