Hey guys I know we've already concluded that you can't use the service if you're in NZ but be careful starting it up. I opened it up just to see what would happen and it just paused on the loading screen so I tried exiting it and my PS3 ended up resetting itself. When it did start up again though it came up saying it was rebuilding the PS3 hdd! I was a little freaked out because I hadn't backed up my saves for a while but in the end it reset again pretty quick and all was right in the world.

Way to get our hopes up...  You'd think that if Australia has it, then we can get it too.  Oh well!  Hopefully soon, I'll keep an eye on this post with hopes that a mod update us.

Well. I was bloody annoyed to find out that we'd been shafted (again!) - but after learning that each video was approximately 100MB/200MB it doesn't really bother me so much...

VidZone is provided by Third party Company. NOT directly Sony.
There are two main issuses that are supposed to stop VidZone from releasing in countries.
1.. SPONSORS for the service. Yes, The advertisers for companies in NZ don't want to pay VidZone.
2.. Copyright for the Music is a smaller one, This is so you can transfer the Songs to Mobiles £1.50 = AU $3.03 per Video. Still not Done, only UK and Germany have agreed license deals for sales..
Im on a 10Mb/s download service and the VIDEOS are only 40MB file size, 10MB per min, it has a 1GB buffer for the content on the HDD..200MB is big enough for 16/9 HD and the service is only 4/3 letter box.

cant get access to vid zone im a bit confuffled by this .

Vid Zone. What they think that it wont be effective? or they think its too

expensive? Where didi you get this information from??
