hokay soo turns out. there's some differences in the us version. firstly it worked for me, i was able to join both us and eu friends easy, i did how ever get kicked when group leader was starting match but was able to join back, and another time i got forced out of psn. also have noticed graphical differences in the game. an exoscan of a 'facehugger plays in the background of the menus. so if you can, download us version of avp and see if it works for you.

If you can't join a game with friends and they can then it usually means your connection sucks lol

Cancelled my pre order until I read a review now. I bet I'm not the only one.

How could this MAJOR ***** up not be spotted before the release of the demo?

Okay, i find this a bit shocking personally.

AVP demo released on pc, PS3 and XBox360 together.

360 version worked fine. PC had the same issues as PS3, however, those issues were fixed pretty much immediately.

Yet, the PS3 version STILL doesn't work???

Friday, nothing. Saturday, nothing. Sunday nothing. And most likely Monday, nothing.

Do Rebellion realise how much this is going to affect their PS3 sales? Surely they'd want to get it done as soon as possible???

The PS3 Demo is playable but as stated you have to form a group to play it you can not just join a game if you are solo. What I have discovered though is that that group needs to be formed by someone in the US. I formed a group with 5 Americans I was the only UK person there, the game sat there searching for a good 20 mins before we got bored we then reformed the group with one of my US friends taking the lead and we got a game within seconds.

It would seem to me that if you want to play this game you need to be in a party with an American Leader (I don't mean Obama).

THE DEMO HAS BEEN FIXED! You need to delete the previous demo of 1138mb and go back on the play station store re-download it , you will notice that this one is 838mb and is also fixed Enjoy!
