Re: Brink: Who's loving it?

I gave up after an hour and a half of cursing the AI for not disarming the mines... spotting was no problem, there were mines a plenty, they just did not go and disarm them :smileysad:

I'll do it another day when one of my friends is on

Re: Brink: Who's loving it?

To get the AI to disarm them you have two options... spot them when the AI are near them, or stand on it and wait for an engineer to help. The first is more reliable.

I'll happily help next time I'm on - a lot of people have trouble with this stupid trophy (and the get a kill with a satchel charge one, although that's easier. Just annoying because you waste a point on an essentially useless ability).

The satchel was easy enough although agreed on wasting a point, i actually had to level down because i never used credit on it. Appreciate the offered help :smileyhappy:

Re: Brink: Who's loving it?

Got the platinum tonight ... did it on my own to. I was running around with the fuel waiting for a mine to be planted, spotted it, got ran over, wait for another mine etc .... with 3 minutes left on the game another mine was planted, i waited until everyone had scattered around me and moved in. Spotted the mine and low and behold , everyone runs off :smileyindifferent:

All of a sudden a medic goes to the mine and gets stuck there, i wack a engineer on the head and he moved a bit closer, i wacked him again and ... well lookie at that ... he disarms the mine ... *ping* :smileyvery-happy:

nice 1.

I found the standing on the mine method that many of the trophy guides state to be rubbish. In the end I found that when the AI are escorting you they only come so close, so I got a mine between me and an AI engineer and then backed away from it so that he was then walking straight towards.

The last few steps got a bit tense as Id been trying for 2 hours and was getting worried that he was just gonna step on it :smileyindifferent:

Re: Brink: Who's loving it?

Got Brink at the weekend.

Had 1 session on it, did the 1st campaign bit, but seemed I did it online and this failed as it hasnt ticked off.

However played a few games online and really enjoyed it.

I've managed to get 14% trophies in just 1 session,  crazy.

I was also chuffed that I got the package to the train 1st time of playing.

Hoping to have a proper session later.

Add me if anyone wants a game, I'm the only one of my mates with it at the moment!
