Re: Crysis 2 vs Killzone 3!!

I think you're making a bit of a meal out of this TBH. The problem is you bought KZ3 already (for £100 as well). It's not like Crysis 2 has only just appeared on the radar. Try the demos, see which you prefer and run with it. But I'd exchange your special edition KZ3 - if you can't afford both games, I doubt you can afford what essentially amounts to a £60 gas mask either...

Also - multicoloured text... bad idea.

Re: Crysis 2 vs Killzone 3!!

Sorry for the long review, but I hope it helps other split sided players a part from me.

Over all, I never really knew Killzone would put up a fight in the game play area against Crysis 2.

I think that I might play Killzone 3 more than if I brought Crysis 2, because Crysis 2 seems to be more about style, graphics and classic FPS play with a mix, however it looks like it might lose fun after a while. Saying that though, Killzone 3 might as well, considering its game play is a lil bit more basic than Crysis 2.

Ok, I've made my choice. The graphics seem a lot better on Crysis 2, its got a lot of customization, and the game play is awesome, but I have to go with KZ3, due to the lovely environments, more dramatic game play (I love my cinematics), its twist in the game play, with features such as tactician robots, and its full on support.

Wow, I finally made a decision.

KILLZONE 3, HERE I COME :smileyvery-happy:

I guess I am making a bit of a deal, but I dont really want to faff around with all the trading in and what not when I get bored of the other game. I just want to sit and chillax with a great game. I've made my decision now, and I think I'm happy with it. Initially, I thought the lack of game modes and maps was a problem, but after comparing results, I could see everything clearly. I had to kind of write my thoughts down, because I cant really mentally think of doing things; I find it a whole lot easier to read.

Now that I've chosen Killzone 3, I still think I'll keep the mask. I love my antiques, and although it doesnt seem like much, I can appreciate the gas mask. As well as that, I can stuff a couple of chocolates in the helmet for night time as well, so in a way its somewhat useful :smileyvery-happy:

I tried to use multi coloured text to high light the key points. I was going to a legend but I kind of forgot. Red is info, green is pros and orange is cons. It saves everyone reading through a big boring piece of writing after all.

Thanks for your opinion anyway, but yeah, i'm sticking to Killzone 3

Lmao I cant believe I havent played this till release date!

Atleast I've by passed the online problems with the double xp and all the awkwardness....

Anyway, I appreciate your help, so thanks for your help guys, and I'll be sure to post my verdict on this topic very soon...

Again though, Crysis 2 is a fantastic competitior against KZ3 from what I've seen, so it all comes down to your flavour imo

Re: Crysis 2 vs Killzone 3!!

Hi guys

I've written a mini review in the Killzone board, but heres my verdict here as well.

Now, my main focus on the whole KZ3 vs Crysis 2 is the online portion. I played KZ3 single player, and I've completed the prologue and the first 2 levels, and the graphics are really stunning.

However, the multiplayer seems pretty boring imo. Its not terrible, but it doesnt really seem as dynamic as I expected. Crysis 2 is like having a flexible and agile monkey in a suit, where as Killzone is just a boring guy who has to stick with the physics of the real world.

Its good that GG are trying to making KZ realistic, but thats not the point; Killzone cant possibly be fun if it all its trying to do is look shiny. I'd rather have COD gameplay in Killzone 3 than shiny and realistic graphics.

I'll have a better run through tommorow, cause I started playing at 9:30 and came off at 10:59 (with breaks), but yeah, I'm quite dissapointed now that I think about it. Maybe I'll enjoy it tommorow, but it just seems so boring now

Re: Crysis 2 vs Killzone 3!!

I'm gonna hazard a guess and say you're finding it a little frustrating to start with? Everybody does, because you haven't unlocked the things you want yet.

..When you get better at it you'll enjoy it more.

I reckon I'm pretty good at it tbh, I've come first in most of my games I've played so far, I've played Killzone 2 and I'm at the penultimate level, so I'm kind of used to the controls.

I dont know tbh, I'm going to replay again today to see what its like, but I'm pretty split sided

I don't think that's what he means - pick one class (preferably not infiltrator or marksman - I love engineer and medic personally) and get all the unlocks.

Also, which mode did you play? I myself hate the TDM mode. Operations is my favourite, but there are only 3 maps so mixing it up with Warzone is good.

I hope you can get into it, but I think you spent so long deliberating and agonising over it, I think you may have inflated expectations. But if that's the case, you may enjoy it more second time...
