Cant wait for this one, sounds awesome, set on a planet instead of a ship sounds like a great premise for this franchise. More horror......................aways a plus!

DS2 will be an instant purchase for me. I loved the first, beating it on Impossible was one of my proudest gaming achievements. I just hope EA dont do anything stupid with the sequal and f##k with the winning formula of the first game.

I enjoyed the first Dead Space. I hope this one is a little scarier than the original. Cool gameplay trailer. The nail gun weapon looks cool. The cathedral looking place is very different to the ship in the first game.

I bought Dead Space a few weeks ago, I'm about 3 hours in... but these other games came up and it kinda slipped off the radar... once I finish Assassin's Creed II (Borrowing it) i'll finish DS.

But Dead Space is an awesome game, I watched an interview on PS. Blog a couple of weeks ago on Dead Space 2, and it looks just amazing.

Dead Space was a great game.  EA messed up by releasing it at xmas time when it got lost in the rush (along with their other great original IP at the time, Mirror's Edge).

I tried the demo and thought that was pretty ordinary, too.  But when I saw the game going 1/2 price in an EB sale I thought I'd take a punt on it since lots of people were saying good things about it.  I'm glad I did, because I really enjoyed it.

Hopefully EA learned their lesson about (a) releasing stuff at a time of year when it'll stand a chance and (b) releasing demos that show off their game in a better light.

Definitely looking forward to DS2.  Whether it's a launch purchase or a wait-for-the-sales will depend on what else comes out around the same time, but I'll definitely be buying it at some point.

Loved the first, but I'm worried about the second when they say that it has "action comparable to Modern Warfare 2". I don't want Modern Dead Warfare Space 2. I want Dead Space 2.. not much from the original really needed to be changed, the pacing was near perfect (except the last level) and the story was solid, if not super cliche. I also wish they didn't give Issac a voice, I love me a silent protagonist. But meh, it should be good.

Cant fault EA for their support of games.

Linkage for info on a downloadable prequal arcade style game for Dead Space 2.

Gotta hand it to them, they certainly promote their games well, and support them well.

Yup.. which was a large part of why I got into the first game... Hopefully the scares are still there for me in the sequel..
