Is it just me or does anyone else feel that the recent call of duty releases(black ops/mw3) don`t seem to match up to the superior gameplay, map design, killstreak rewards and overall feel of Modern warfare 2? With each new game the palyability seems to deteriorate and the attention to detail of surroundings increases giving a visibly good looking location but the maps feel restricted to close quarters combat. If the game has such a wide variety of weapons to choose from the locations should vary enough to give you an opportunity to put them all to the test. The respawn in mw3 seems so random you can hardly get your bearings before a member of the opposing team spawns behind you. If your like me then the main aim in the game is to achieve the highest killstreak reward possible but when that killstreak reward is just a glorified chopper gunner it all seems a bit pointless.(bring back the nuke) Needless to say that my midnight launch bought copy of MW3 is now sitting on a games store shelf sporting a pre-owned sticker right next to my old copy of  Black ops. Maybe instead them trying to dream up new locations for the map pack releases they could do a retro pack and give us a bit of old old school from some of the late greats.

I feel that most gamers feel let down as they haven't made any improvements to the gameplay engine, as they are still using the same one from Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare as that was such a success. The only way Call of Duty games can get better is if they create a whole new gameplay engine, similar to what DICE did with BF3. I like the whole close combat situation though as it has reduced the amount of camping snipers, but has increased the amount of shotgun campers.

MW3 is nowhere near as bad as Black Ops, but isn't as good as the original Modern Warfare.

gamers dont like modern warfare 3 is mainly due to the developers that made the game what it was in modern warfare and modern warfare 2 lefted the company to form a new one called respawn enertainment and they took a lot of there own people with them

all the idiots at infinity ward did was use a old engine and add a few extras which is nothing special as an idoit can do better

treyarch had the zombies mode which is a classic

Yes but surely campers are part of what makes a game good. Killing the same guy five times in a row and imagining the frustration you caused(and sometimes hearing about it) or on the other hand the satisfaction of digging out the camping little son of a.... you know what I mean..

I agree with all points apart from I think that you either love zombies or feel that playing zombies is like flogging a dead horse. endless waves just seems well...., endless. Needless to say I`m not a zombie fan.

I agree hence why I traded MW3. I have recently got COD4 and I am loving it.

Black Opps is a classic when compared to the mess of MW3,Haze has a better MP than MW3 if your a camping noob who likes one shot kills where every map plays and looks the same then MW3 is the best game ever . However if your none of the above then it's not for you.

Because Modern Warfare was a fluke, and they don't understand their formula well enough to extend it, just regurgitate it. At least Dice understand their formula and know how to mix it up... conquest, assault conquest, titan mode, rush...
