how did you get your job? what made you want to be a mod and do you have other
jobs apart from your modding job?
I was lucky, I finished University and few months later I find this job through a recruitment agency.
I've always wanted to work within this industry even though I was told it is too hard to get into it.
I look back to the days we played on the NES and the PS1 and I compare it to what we are playing
now (Uncharted, Killzone 2 Infamous etc) our consoles have become so advanced especially at a
graphical level. It excites me to think what we will be playing in the next 10 years and that's what keeps me
glued to the gaming world.

Would you ever leave your current job? If so what would you like to move to most. It's doing me fine for the situation I'm in now. I think that if it was to end sooner rather than later I would just head back up the road and look for something up there. I've yet to have a real look at the other jobs in the industry that someone with my skills can do. I wouldn't mindsticking with Community though.

Why don't any of you frequent the Call of Duty board? It's the same as what Moshii was saying about the Metal gear forum, we do pop in to check is all is alright and no one is breaking the rules regularly. As for a fun night, I might have something planned, maybe not a weekly fixture but something still quite regular. if you're into CoD then add me on PSN as that's one of my top games.

What would you do for your ultimate night in? well I don't drink as much as I used to but if I'm not doing anythign the next day nothing is better than a 6 pack of Kronenberg. If I'm not gaming then I usually put on some random stand up comedy DVD or one of the Monty Python films.

Well for ages it was Canada, but I made my way there about 7 years ago so I guess I'm all done now with travelling To be honest I can't be doing with travelling, I had the chance to go to my sisters wedding in Jamaica last month, gave the excuse that someone else in the team was on holiday (true) but I didn't fight for it.

To be honest, I usually use whatever's on offer.. pretty cheap. :s I try to go for an olive oil spread though. If I am baking, I try to get butter from free-range English cows. It tastes better.

Gah! I knew someone would ask this! To be honest, I can't say anyone here really annoys me. I really enjoy doing this and I'd rather seem some of you as a challenge than an annoyance. Sometimes somebody here might not really be happy with something and wants to let us know - that's okay, but we'd be able to address it better if you sent it straight to us rather than in an angry post somewhere.

I have two. Their names are Nicknack and Mittens, two brothers. They belong to my brother and I, they're about 14 years old now, I'm guessing. Mittens is more my cat, and I used to dress him up in my dolly clothes and push him around a pram when I was a kid. I also thought he was a girl for ages and still refer to him as "she"!
Here's Nicknack. As you can tell from his glowing eyes, he is the most evil cat known to man.

Cheesy as it sounds, working on the forum is a little like being on the outside of a giant soap opera. Some of you get hurt and have falling-outs, but sometimes I see you making friends again. I've seen you guys get married and have kids, heard about your relatives and loved ones passign away. I've seen forumers get together and I'm hoping to see them have a long and happy life together. I've been able to meet some of you, and I want to meet more! Some of the things are pretty sad, but that's how life is. So I guess you could say that the best part of my job is working for you and watching your lives develop. It's sort of like being a grandma or a teacher.

More than you'd expect! Pretty much anywhere you can upload your own content or play around, we'll be there. Those embarassing SingStar videos you uploaded last night? Yeah, we'll see them. That LBP level you made? Sure, we'll check it out. A good clue is to see if there's anything about moderation in the EULA of any game - or of course, the manual will list us in the credits. ;D
There's an awful lot to it, on my last count we have about 22 things we each keep a track of! We sort of have to be omnipresent around here, with our eyes on every forum all the time. We also keep an eye out for any reports you folks make about mysterious happenings, and try to get that info to the right people as quickly as possible!

In ANY game? It's tough. It comes down to two ladies. Lammy from Um Jammer Lammy is choice #1. She's very much like me in that she's lacking confidence until she can do her own thing. She's super cool! Choice#2 is Tifa. This chick got me into videogames! I always wanted to be her - honest, open, and caring about her friends. Sure, she's a little bit overshadowed by Aerith, but she just carries on, does her own thing, and kicks major ass.

Yes, SCEE like to make sure that the whole company communicates. The Moderation Team is just a tiny unit in a massive department, which is part of another huge department, which is but one small division of SCEE. So slowly but surely, we're working our way through the company.

Either This Lamb Sells Condos by Final Fantasy or Voices by Yoko Kanno. Both are eerie, gorgeous songs by modern geniuses. But I love Sister Rosetta (Capture The Spirit) by the Noisettes. Check that one out on Vidzone, it's amazing.

Tricky Q man, tricky Q. I have so many I love. Final Fantasy is amazing, even though he's a one-man-band. I also love L'arc~en~Ciel, Arcade Fire, and Noisettes. I love most music that I hear, from Lonely Island to Roots Manuva to Justin Timberlake, so don't be surprised if this section changes.

Do you remember Kazz? She's a good friend of mine in real life. She gave me a shout out to let me know that SCEE were looking for mods. I'd done a lot of moderation work before as a voluntary position, as well as worked in customer service for the past 3 years. Lucky me got the job.

We try to, but you should see how many fall into my inbox every day. I hear MB gets even more. Best thing to do to get a quick response is to be polite and civil in all messages, make it clear what youre asking about, and, if you don't get a reply, send a gentle poke a day or so later to ask if we've read it.

No, we're not *always* on duty. However, we do come on here to check it out if we're up surfing the web at night. I know you guys too well. In the wee small hours, we have a guard dog sitting on the forum who bites anyone who misbehaves. He's terrifying. I have to feed him.

I was just really lucky and knew Kazz, who used to be a moderator here (she's since moved on to Ubisoft). I modded a few other forums in my time, including a massive one that's spawned its own convention, haha. And I don't have any other jobs, although sometimes my friends give me money to style wigs for them. Silly girls.

Yeah, they get noticed, but we generally only get to do a sort of mini-sweep of the area - the rest of the forum is so busy! I promise you we don't ignore it... we just keep an eye on it.
