I've noticed that some people are using avatar's not provided by the fromus. How do you add your own avatar?

Click on the My Settings at the top of the page. 

Then click on the Avatar tab, from the settings page. Here you can then choose from the selections that are on the page, or an image from your uploaded files, or from the web by using the address of the image.
