Since we've been getting a lot of spam and reposts in GD from 1 time only posters I'd like to suggest a captcha system for when a user makes their 1st post.

This will stop the spam and will only be required on your 1st post so shouldn't be that much of a hassle to the first time genuine posters.

Probably worth making clear to new members that the captcha's a one time thing though, so as not to put people off posting.

wait.... how do we know it's not shane posting these repeat threads and this thread asking for a captcha isn't a double bluff to throw us of his scent?

lol as much as I'd love to re-post old threads everyday, I think I'd end up going mad creating all the accounts and email accounts.

Plus, I doubt it's someone doing it. It's probably a bot and with a captcha system in place, the bot won't be able to get past it.

Captchas are only good at stopping spam bots and I don't think the spam we get on here is being done by bots, just random people.

It's to much work to get a bot to create a PSN account just to post a spam link here, when there so many other forums on the web where it's much easier to post on.

But it's not spam as in posting to viagra or some crap.

It's someone/something copying and pasting old threads.

I really can't see someone making an email and PSN account every time just to repost a old thread.
