Every thread looks squashed now. Is this intentional?

I don't like it.

The new layout forces the perminant notification sections on to the screen. 

So yes its been preplanned. 

you can now go to latest topics with out back navigation.

It looks too cramped.

Its not over as normal they will tweek it. features listed in the update thread are still not enabled untill you empty your cache

Why, if I'm in the announcements section do I or would I want to read about 'New Solutions'? Who is the brains behind this change?

All of this stuff is on the main page. And the people who would want this information would just look at the main page, anyway.

I know. Taking away posting space within an actual topic thread is idiotic.

Edit - Thought I was in Vissys thread about this forum change.  That's how much this new layout sucks.
