To get the most out of your PS3, a dualshock 3 is the only thing you need :smileywink: If you like shooters and are used to the 360 triggers, then these clip on triggers may be what you're looking for: Linky

You can get them in GAME and other places for about £3 so they're not too bad.

Unofficial controllers are very hit and miss, and controllers with Turbo functions are frowned upon, especially in online games which now sometimes have overrides to disable the function.

That XCM thing looks like it probably won't work now, since after the PSN hacking, unauthorised devices can be automatically rejected by the System to prevent hacking. You can thank GeoHotz and the other morons for that.

The more you use the PS3 controller, the more familiar it'll become, The PS2 is second nature to most people, and the PSOne, PS3, PSP and Vita all share the same controls :smileywink:

Re: XCM cross battle adaptor after update..

hmmmmm i cant understand why they would block a xcm cross battle adaptor as its only use is to allow you to use a xbox controller on a ps3...but anyhow, looks like im gunna have to bite the bullet and use the pad provided..thanks for your help

Re: XCM cross battle adaptor after update..

They wouldn't specifically target it, it's a general block on certain types of hardware that could be used to break into the system so it may well fall into that category.
If anyone has one feel free to correct me! :smileyhappy:

Unlicensed Cloned DS3 tech was also banned.

If this device Cloned DS3 technology with out a license that would be why it can fail...

Converting any device to copy a DS3 needs DS3 coding and thats only allowed if you buy official code...

If you don't remember Mad cats (once figured as a safe company)  got hit by cloned tech from a bad supplier that upset a few people as there Controllers died.

Frag FX version 1 also Got killed with no support from the developer..
