why am i having to wait up to 4hrs because its updating data files. all  i want to do is play the game n not have to wait hrs too..

Unfortunately, to update the game it has to be done. You could set it to start at night when you go to bed, or if you have PS+ schedule an automatic check at 3am when you're sound asleep

jus reloaded the game and when it got to 99% it stopped. i waited 15mins to see if it would go to 100%. i realise some updates take ages. that 1st bit of update is just 1 of 4... as it didnt move up for 15mins from 99%, im guessin it froze then.. im going to jus delete it all and reload it to my hd again & see if it will work.

i deleted socom special forces an then reloaded the game.. just in case i was the reason it froze at 99% as i did interrupt the updating process when i realised ive 1 of 4 & ive waited over an hr already & the 1st one. the tried later but that froze. anyway i reloaded it and all is good now.
