White Knight Chronicles II and Origins announced for Europe

[ Edited ]

SCEE have just announced in the last hour that they're releasing White Knight Chronicles II and White Knight Chronicles: Origins in Europe this May: http://blog.eu.playstation.com/2011/03/09/white-knight-chronicles-returns-to-ps3-and-debuts-on-psp/

I don't know how excited people are about this game over here (I count 3 so far :smileytongue:), but the sequel boasts new improvements and features such as a faster paced battle system, 6 player parties, customisable knights for the player avatar that can be taken into online quests and the ability to take story members into offline quests so that questing by yourself isn't as hard this time around. They're also supposed to be patching in guild support into the Japanese version, so perhaps we could start up an [OPC] one?

Origins for the PSP is supposed to be a prequel where the White Knight is one of the main enemies and it also includes local/Infrastructure co-op and transfre features with the PS3 version, so I'm really looking forward to that too.

Anyway here's the images of the 2 games that have been posted on the blog to whet your appetite:

If it's like the Japanese version, it might come with WKC1 already on the disc! With the improved battle system and game engine.

I'm definitely going to buy this, and replay WKC1!

It's more then likely, but I wouldn't worry there probably be some TV adverts for it, so you wont miss it

Here's the supposed European cover for comparisons sake and its pretty much identical save for the PEGI rating, text description and publisher. Since its already been rated it shouldn't be too far off as well which is good news, at the moment it looks like it'll be released 19th/20th May.

Edit: I've also found the cover for White Knight Chronicles: Origins and that seems like it'll be released on the same day. I can't say for sure though since both release dates aren't set in stone.

Re: White Knight Chronicles II and Origins announced for Europe

^__^ I passed on the original but always kind of regretted it.

I will definately be picking this up and playing from the start.  If guilds are supported, that'd be epic.
