ok, firstly I just realised that my character isn't the main character and doesn't get the awesome white knight thing which sucks -_-

anyway:

Is there any point in setting up abilities on the bars for characters I don't control?

Do abilities need to be set on the bars for the AI to use them?

How do I get the AI to save up chips and use the white knight?

what determines the priority of abilities that the AI uses? does it matter what bar (1/2/3) they are on?

are certain characters better at any jobs than others or are they all the same?

1- not really got through the game without any tactical set ups

2-yes

3-the AI wont transform into the white knight only you control it (as far as i no), if you want them to save AC don't command them to attack and i think there should be a setting somewhere for this.

4-not really although most of the time ive never seen my AIs use buffing spells

5-imo there all the same except some of them cant use certain weapon classes apart from your avater.
