Hi, just got the game.

Do you guys play with Pilot Assist on, or sould i just put some practice in and get used to playing with it off?

If I do put it on, are there any points later in the game when I have to turn it off (e.g. expert level, playing online)?

You should keep assist off.

But it's up to you really. I can't think of anyone who uses it, and i believe it slows you down too.

It limits your top speed, as well as preventing you from going around corners sharper, so yeah keep it off really

the game takes a bit of practice to get to grips with so keep it on if you`re finding it hard but like everyone else says to get the skilled and elite gold medals you will have to turn it off.

Learn to play with it on first when your ready off it goes

I can play some races without it and others i need it

Saying that most of the great players dont use it

It's useless - I went straight in at the deep end, with no pilot assist and on skilled, then changed to elite after a few races. When I did try using Pilot Assist I found it slowed me down, because I would maybe drift to the right of the track near an edge and then correct my line at the same time as the assist kicked in, putting me straight off the track.

Plus, if you use it you'll never get good at Zone.

Come 1st with it on once to unlock a trophy then turn it off forever. You will not be able to come near 1st on Elite in Phantom with it on. Use Icarus to begin in Venom. I ended Up with feisar When in Phantom in Elite. Zones are great to practice.

I only started playing this game the other day after getting it in the Welcome Back Pack. I found the Pilot Assist to be absolutely horrible. It doesn't help you at all. Well, not me anyway. Maybe it's my driving style?
