Heya.
Lately I have been having issues with Wipeout HD and some others crashing my PS3, however, it happens mostly with Wipeout.
The green light stays on at its steady flash (you know, not blinking, just staring outward like a natzi) but the amber light goes away completely.
It's incredibly annoying when you're winning a perfect 7/8 online tournament or eliminator by 200+ points. ![]()
I looked through the online manual but couldn't really find anything specific... and I did Google around a bit too but found only posts by Americans saying screw Sony and would probably ignore any posts like that since I love my PS3 and it's not going to help either.
Anybody out there able to shine some light on to what is causing this?

How old is your PS3?
I had a similar problem with various games that installed to hard disk... For instance, on RUSE, textures consistently corrupted, and on Arkham Asylum, it would freeze at particular points. The fix in both cases was to delete an reinstall the game data because my hard disk had bad sectors.
If you think this may apply to you, delete Wipeout. Then either delete a massive game install, or install one. Then redownload Wipeout.
There is a disk fix utility in XMB but you have to do a magic handshake with your PS3 to get access to it...
