What's your method for collecting the blast shards? In my first playthrough I was all over the place, just collecting them when I found them. Now im up to like 200 or something they are getting really hard. Should I just flag it and make a  decent attemept at it using a map. Or just grit my teeth and crone round the city till I find the other 150?

I just run around and press L3 it not hard until you only have like 20 left or less. I still need 6 more but I gave up lol

Ok.. I'm doing my second (inFamous) run now... and basically did everything on my first run except the evil stuff trophies and the 100% shards...

I decided after getting 95+% of shards through normal exploration during normal play on the first island, and maybe 70%+ on the second island, not to even pick them up on the third island and wait till my second run..

My reasoning is this... even running around clicking L3, murphy's law says I am bound to end up with 347-349 shards, and no matter how hard I search, I'll probably never find the lost ones... so I'm not going to take that risk...

Instead, as I do my inFamous run I am using a printed map which is supposed to be reliable.... and I am going for them block by block... crossing them off on the map, and as I do each block I mark the boundary of it with a pen, record the total number for that block, and then record the numbers down the side of the page... I do a couple of blocks of shards.. then I do a story mission or two.. by the end of the first island and Sasha I should have all the shards except maybe one or two which can't be reached until you get the hover power...

Might seem rediculous I know.. but trust me.... my first run of San Andreas I never found all the graffiti tags, and they are at least leave a mark.... Every 100% run of a GTA game I've done I've used maps for the hidden packages... so thats what I'm going to do here..

My method was simple (was because I've got the Platinum Trophy now ), I just ran horizontal zig-zags on each island while tapping the living bejeebus out of L3 until I had all of them for that island.

I just got them all from playing the game, except for about the last twenty, my tip for those is check down all the piers and rocks/wooden pole thingy's around the edges of all the islands pretty much where all the ones i missed were.

I didn't really collect them while playing, but after I finished the story and searched the first island, I got the map off GameFAQs. Made searching the other two islands a lot easier. I still ended up with 349/350, but luckily it only took me 5 mins to find the last one (in the ocean on a sunken dock).

This was the last trophy I needed for platinum so I printed out the map from GameFAQs then searched the entire map and ticked off each shard, one by one.

Some of the shards are given off certain missions and packages you find. Is that indicated in the map?

I have printed the map already and theres also another link off gameFAQS for the Gamespot game guide which has the map location marker in one pic and another pic showing cole standing near the shard (for easier reference).

I did the first 10 off that site, then just played the game without it. I think it was a mistake because im sure after i get all the shards, my L3 button wont work anymore cause i press it so often.

The shards you get during missions aren't counted towards your total 350

My method is still working to plan... I have roughly the first 200 shards... including the ones on the prison... that was a bit of a mission, making sure I had all of those, LOL..
