SONY games no sound throught the optical cable ( using Headset ASTRO A40 )

This happends to me as far as I can see only with the Sony games:

 I have my ps3 conected directly with my headset Astro A40 with the optical cable. For example, Black Ops works perfect, but if I play inFamous, doesnt received any sound. The same with Killzone 2 and 3.

The only solution is conect the headset to the TV with the optical, and TV - PS3 with HDMI. But then the sound is not 5.1.

CAN YOU TELL ME IF THIS CAN BE SORTED? I think this was not happening before, but I am not sure.
