game freezing at very end of story!

By the looks of the scene I'm watching I'm at the very end of the game. But three times in a row the game has locked up requiring a console restart.

I've cleaned the disc but no joy. I can't believe this, its at such a poignant moment too. I'll try again later but has anyone else experienced this?

A clue to the  scene, there is a tree and the clouds go dark around it.

I called Sony and they suggested deleting the game data and reinstalling.  I did and it worked!

I've now completed the game. phew

Just tried again, same problem at same point in scene.
