Hello,
Can anyone please tell me about different fifa 18 ps4 regions? I saw 3 different regions in the market; Region 2, 3 and All. Could you please me what those regions mean?
I bought my Playstation from London.
Ignore the region 2,3 and all etc they are usually used for DVD and Blu-ray regionalisation, it's the product ID code on the game case and disk that determines the region of the game.
The photos above for illustrative purposes show the EU version of Destiny which also cover Australia and New Zealand PAL regions.
It doesn't matter where your PS4 system is from (apart from China) games from around the world will run on it. It's DLC that is region locked,for example DLC purchased on the UK PlayStation store will not work with a US copy of a game.
As @mont348 Ninja'd me...
I've Editing this Post as reading it back didn't really make sense.
New Version.
The PlayStation itself is Region Free.. you can use your PS4 anywhere.
There is also one for China... but you don't really want to go there.
Physical Disc Games can be played on any PS4 from any Country Account.
The problems start to surface when you go into DLC.
This DLC has to work with the Region of your Account.
Buying a US Game, will require you to have a US Account to use any DLC that you may purchase.. buy DLC from a European Account won't work.
If you buy a Region ALL Disc Game, it is still subject to a Region.
As @mont348 has pointed out above.. you need to check the Code on that disc which will point to what Region Account that will work with DLC.
Many people get this wrong.. and we have lots of Threads on this Topic.
Hopefully this Edited version is a little easier to understand..

Thank you so much for your info. I want to play FIFA 18 online with my friends. But my friends are from UK, US and AUS. I do have PSN+ account, so the only real concern for me is : Can I play FIFA online with them regardless of the region.
I am in Nepal at the moment, and I only saw DVD's with Region 2,3 and ALL on it. Something like the attached picture:
This is the Account you want to use??
sus1878
When you made that Account, What Country did you set it for??
You selected a Country.
This is important if you buy a disc game, as you may want to purchase Fifa Points or Coins in the future.
I'm going to assume that you selected the UK for your Account.
This will fall into Region 2.
If you go ahead and buy that Game pictured which looks like a Region 3, then DLC won't work.
You would need to buy a Region 2 disc.
Your better solution is to buy the game from your PS Store on the Account you wish to use. Then when you purchase any Fifa DLC from the same PS Store.... it will all work.

@sus1878
THank you for your reply.
Yes my location is Wembley, England. but I can always change that, can't I?
Honestly, I wouldn't mind about FIFA coins or points. I just want to play online with my friends from US, UK and AUSTRALIA. I seriously would not want to purchase the digital copy of the game from PSN, the internet speed sucks here , it will take me ages to download all the files, hence, I was looking for a DVD.
@S2N-Ava
Oki
Yes, your Account would be set for Region 2
Any game on disc can be played with your Account, even the one you pictured.
As I say, if you do go ahead and buy the Region 3 disc... DLC won't work from your current Account. But if you are not bothered, it don't really matter.
The only other concern is the game on disc might need to be updated once it's installed from the disc... This will turn to the internet to do so....
I don't play this game, so don't know if it has been updated.
Anyways, the disc will work.... Any DLC would need to come from a Region 3 Account if you change your mind and want DLC in the future...

@sus1878
So you are saying, If I do decide to buy region 3 disc, I would still be able to play online with my friends from abroad? That's the only thing that matters to me, to be honest. The sole reason for me to buy this game is to play online with them.
PS, DLC means downloadable contents, isn't it?
@S2N-AvaYes. You can play online.
Your Account has the Plus Subscription which entitles you to play any game online.
DLC. Downloadable Content
In game purchases etc
@sus1878
Thank you so much for you help . I will go ahead and buy Region 3 Disc, which is available here.
Cheers !!

Does anyone know about blu-ray regions? For example will PS4 from Russia play blu-ray with film region 2?
Thanks.
