The FFB has 2 sliders in the option screen.
I have them both on the lowest settings, but it is still extremely heavy!!
Please put a option in so that we can change that!!!
(Because of neck and shoulder pain i can not have it on a heavy setting, and i think it is bad for my steering wheel)
What wheel are you using?
If I move the sliders down to the lowest setting, I pretty much have zero force feedback or resistance. So I currently have both set to 8 on my Thrustmaster t500rs.
So it's looking predominantly a T300 issue then? Rather odd, as moving the sliders all the way to left should actually turn the FFB off.

moving the slider all the way to the left sets it to 1 . There is no off setting for the FFB, and 1 is way to high in terms of resistance created once you loose grip@RenegadeXtreme
It's an odd one with varying results it seems. If I move the sliders to 1, it effectively turns off all force feedback.
In the closed beta, it was the G29 that was having the main FFB issues. Now it seems to be the T300. Not tried either of those wheel myself. But hopefully these problems will be resolved come release day.@OnTheBubble

Playing on a T500rs the strength seems fine but the rattle/vibration on oversteer is way too much! Feels like I’m braking the wheel.
I own T500 with the F1 wheel mod . I have a 20 yr history with this game and many years PC racing iRacing etc . I can see where they have gone with
the physics model its all about staying smooth and I like it . But the FFB I get on track whilst i'm driving fast within the limits is so much lower than the FFB I get when I begin to slide or go off track or lock the brakes. it does actually feel as though my wheel is going to break ! when I push to hard compared to normal grip levels. if there could be some more transition between the two that would be awesome. Or simply as another concerned gamer felt simply make the FFB Lower across the board to compensate .... must add I will definitely be buying the game. but if a hot fix is not implemented I would have to start the process of charging back , as in the current state my gear will break down I feel . there are other sims available to me that do not have such affects. Pls Polyphony look into this. the rest of the game looks amazing best of GTp rolled into the rest of the series with fixed set up races set by u guys, less bling more realism . well done
The default FFB gain for the T300 is WAY too high. Not only is it clipping all the detail out but prolonged use at this level could start damaging people's hardware (or at least getting them to shut off). Dropping the setting to 2 worked well for me, far more detail.
Seems we all have different opinions..
My T300 feels good at default settings
It occurred to me that i hadn't updated the drivers or firmware for my T500rs for some time. i went to
( https://support.thrustmaster.com/en/cat-wheels-en/ ) . i used a laptop and simply plugged the usb in with the wheel in place , not sure its possible via ps4 .?
updated my drivers then ran the program and turned down my FFB to 25% it was on 75% my old iRacing setting. i had a quick test just now and it seems to have improved things . i dont have the time right now to test more but tonight when me and a friend race will have more of a idea...
certainly worth trying for now ;)
I could be wrong but I thought the gain setting in the PC control panel only affects the PC drivers.@OnTheBubble
yup i also thought the same , but i was willing to try ..... they need to address this before release using a wheel is a disadvantage , u wont get theses issues with a DS4@SeeNoWeevil
PD and GT have always been Controller friendly, they have a big audience with Controller users...
Still... I prefer using a Wheel.. it's strange that people use a Wheel for a Driving Game,, who would have guessed that?? Someone should tell PD that Wheel Users exist out in the real world!!
People do seem to be getting slightly different results but I guess people are used to different levels. There may be differences caused by different firmware which would persist across from PC to PS4. I've used the same wheel with Assetto Corsa on PC and tuned the FFB to be damn near perfection with minimal clipping (the PC version has good tools to do this, GTS final release may at least come with a FFB clipping display in the HUD) and GTS on a setting of 2 feels very close to this. Potentially the best feedback I've experienced. It's leagues ahead of Forza 7's which is genuinely awful. On the default value the levels where being clipped badly. It would basically load up to 100% in every bend, completely binary on or off with all small feedback lost.
If any difference was made it was down to the software and firmware update rest is same as before . i also contacted Guillemot asking them to look at it , maybe they can release a update for GTs PS4 ?
Gts was released yesterday 18th and the issues seem to be resolved . i've only done a 100 or so miles but it seems much improved over the demo . The game itself is very good highly polished. i'm liking the fixed set up online races , going at timed intervals , fixed set up keeps it fair . we here to race not tune . much love Polyphony and Kaz
ok a update on my update ! .. following the GTs 1.09 update 25/10/17 the FFB issues have now been completely resolved. broadening the rate to 10 has really helped me out much more so than the full game release,
this truly has solved the issue . as there was clearly one
