EUROPE GETS PSN CARDS ..........What About Australia?

So we now know about europe getting PSN cards in September (according to the live blog on the OFFICIAL EUROPEAN PLAYSTATION BLOG) and they will be 20 Euro and 50 Euro's.

So where does this leave australia............I am assuming seen as Europe is getting it we will get it and most likely have $20 and $50 cards.

So the question is when are we getting these??

Timesplitter,

I understand the concern and I was looking to link that PSN card topic in here for you, you beat me too it!!!

We in the Aus/NZ territory are looking to have these PSN cards out as soon as we can but I cannot supply you with a release date as of yet as we don't have one to supply.

Once further information is available it will be posted on the forums by a moderator or listed on our website. Sorry I am unable to give you much more.

Well according to information

- Slim is supposed to be release on 3rd September
- Firmware 3rd September

So it is possible PSN cards are going to launch sometime in september.

My Advise to Sony Australia (which u can pass along) is to get these cards OUT ASAP.

PSN cards = More money in Sony pockets

As I have previously said. The best assumption wuld be that the PSN cards will be released along side the PSP Go an PSP Mini's which are slated for a 1st of October launch.

out now.

but back on topic. and enter a bit of a rant form me.

i'm beginning to get the feeling that nobody really knows when the psn cards will come out, it was announced that they were coming out to try and help promote the pspgo., but it feels like it was the left to the future selves of whoever is in charge (solid himym refernce there). and has possibly since been forgotten. the Aussie PSN site is unfourtunatley a complete joke, and about form the forums, doesnt offer much info on anything. Dont expect them for a little while longer, the pspgo will bomb, retailers are beginning to pick dates out of the air and it has become a poorly executed announcment by sony. you DO NOT EVER announce something, put something up on you OFFICIAL website, then take it down and constantly change it, all it does is bred frustrtion and make people angry. also, the lack of psn cards around the time of the PSPgo launch will help in its insanley large fail of a release.people are going to need a way to buy games, and may not want to put their credit card details online (though i guess the demographic most likely to pickone up has been buying stuff online since the internet was invented)

now, none of that makes sense, but i needed to get it off my chest. so please dont retort to any of it.

but, i will put forward something constructive, they look like they are going to be a while if even game retailers haven't heard anything, means it has probably been put a long way down the priority list. though, i really do hope sony make me look like a complete idiot and finalise the dates and announce them tomorrow.

OK, I've been using my Dad's Credit Card for whenever i've needed to buy something from the Playstation Store and without troubles unill 2 days ago. Everytime i go to add funds to my wallet it keeps saying that my card is not vaild when it is. I've never had this issue before and it ***** me off because there is another way around it but we Australians don't have it. (PSN Cards). I've been hearing for ages now that Australia is getting these cards but that was ages ago. What is the hold up, every other console has a secondary method that is available in Australia and are in a our local game shops, why is Sony taking forever to get these Cards to us. We even have the PSPGO and still our only payment method is CREDIT CARD to buy the games. Come on get your acts together and help us Australians abit more.

When things like this happen with the Credit Cards it's always good to know that we can always just go down the street to our local store and buy some bloody points.

Please get these Cards to us ASAP.
