Using PDANet Wifi Direct Hotspot. I get internet, but no server access. Help!

Okay, so I'm using the PdaNet app on my Galaxy J3 Luna Pro to get internet to my PS4. I can use the web browser just fine and I just downloaded a full gig and a half update for Skyrim and The PS4 itself, but I can't use the Youtube App or the Playstation Store. Is there a fix for this or am I boned? Also, to get the PS4 to hookup to the wifi network, I had to manually input the proxy server. The server is 192.168.49.1 with the port 8000. Some help would be greatly appreciated.

Problem solved. I used the USB tether function of PDAnet and feed it into my laptop, running Windows 8. Then, I just turn my computer into the hotspot with the command prompt. Works awesome. If anyone wants to know how, I'll be happy to teach you.

There's not a lot you can do with mobile Internet it often blocks certain servers, doubt you will be able to setup a DMZ or forward the ports PSN uses with this type of connection like you can with a fixed line Internet connection.

I figured that would be the case, but the weird thing is my buddy uses his phones hotspot to do what i'm trying, and he has no problem at all. Is it just the difference in programs?

When I was moving house I just used my android phone as a wifi hotspot, no apps, just in the connectivity settings. I didn't watch youtube or anything but I did buy and download a couple of games from the PS store

It's an Android phone I assume?

It should be there in settings>connections>mobile hotspots and tethering. Then it's just a matter of turning it on, and it will tell you the SSID is androidAP and give you a security key.

Then go to PS4 settings, wifi, all easy/automatic. It will see the androidAP SSID, enter the key and you're good to go. That's all I did

First, connect your laptop to connection you want to broadcast a wifi. Then, right click the connections icon in the system tray. Open Network and Sharing Center, then go to change adapter settings.

Then, select your connection. Right click and go to properties. Go to Sharing and select the first option, the Ok.

Then, open Command Prompt (Admin) by right clicking the start symbol. Here are the commands

netsh wlan set hostednetwork mode=allow ssid=Whatever you wanna call it) key=Your Password then hit Enter.

Then, netsh wlan start hostednetwork

Make sure even if you're using a tether or LAN, that your Wifi reciever is on. Its your transmitter.
