It bothers me extremely that the Sony PSN Network has been slow and/or buggy. Many errors for only looking in the PSN store while playing a game. Time for waiting to load my friendlist. Is it time that Sony updates their services? Perhaps improve the network connection towards Sony PSN. Note: Of course a proxy server would do the trick (except playing online vs friends) But I want Sony to improve it by default.
Network is good. You have problems with your Internet connection.
@Phteve-the-RockNetwork is good, please use more words then only that. My home network is perfect, all other services than sony is working flawlessly. PSN server has been ***** for over 5 years.
It's not perfect otherwise you wouldn't be having problems, fast Internet connection speeds doesn't necessarily mean good. Virgin Media here in the UK are one of the fastest ISP's but the worst UK ISP for gaming, they are so bad they have a dedicated forum for gaming support.
Have you looked at opening ports or setting up a DMZ? Chances are with your Internet connection speeds your network equipment has the Intel Puma 6 chipset which is known to cause lag, although there's been software updates for the Puma 6 chipset it can never be fixed entirely.
In a nutshell it's your Internet connection setup and/or network equipment.@MRTheChez
NAT type is 2, should give no problems. Store and friendlist take over minutes to load. Online gaming has no problem. But other services like PSN store and profile settings take ages to load.@mont348
NAT 2 isn't a guarantee that everything will work, port forwarding or setting up a DMZ may still be required.
A friend had NAT 2 connection but his in game NAT type in Call of Duty was moderate to strict, I fixed it for him by placing his PS4 into his router's DMZ.@MRTheChez
Putting my PS4 into the router's DMZ, isn't that risky? And putting something in the DMZ is easely to do?@mont348
Network isn't good. Everyone in my country has the same problem. My network is 200mbs down and 40mbs up. It's not my network. So if someone could actually explain everything, that would be amazing.@Phteve-the-Rock
Well then if it's a whole country, this means bad internet in the country.
If all you can say is that it's Sony's network issue even though people all over the world don't have the same problem then good luck my friend in sorting that out:D@MRTheChez
That's one way to solve a problem. But the problem is known in The Netherlands and Belgium, almost everyone has the same problem. I just really want to tackle it. Anyway, thanks for your time!@Phteve-the-Rock
Good luck with that and anytime.
Might follow Mont348's advice, he knows his stuff.@MRTheChez
When did you start noticing this? My PSN content has also been loading very slowly lately (Friend’s List, PS Store, What’s New). I ran a line quality test and it shows an excellent internet connection.
For me it started shortly after buying the PS4 in 2014 I believe.
My PSN is too fast, everything's blurry it's moving that quick
