LOGIN / PASSWORD ERROR on GoMessenger

I've tried several times to activate GM on my PSP, but when I try logging in, I get a message stating that either my login or password is wrong. I've gone so far as deleting, then re-installing GoMessenger, deleting my GM account with BT, then re-registering but to no avail. I've had the email confirming my account is set up, but I believe I have to await a 2nd email, confirming the login password (which has never arrived). When I called BT about this, their "so-called" technical helpdesk were of no help, and instead redirected my call to a specialist company who could guarantee to sort this, but for a fee! Why would I want to pay somebody for a service that BT should provide FREE OF CHARGE? Has anyone else had a similar experience to mine, and did you overcome the problem? Any advise would be most welcome!

Ive been trying to log onto GM since yesterday it was fine before that. This is what it says.

 

Account verification failed. Your username

and password you entered were not valid.

Please check and retry. If this problem

persists, please go to your account page on

the Go!Messenger website.

 

And when i go onto my account page it says

Service very busy.

Thanks for your reply. I have managed to figure out the reason why I was having problems - I won't go into the full details, but the bottom line is that BT had created a "dummy" email address ages ago, and had failed to remove it from their servers. Consequently, all (and I mean all!..) emails from BT were being posted to the wrong email address. It was purely by accident that I discovered this, as I have recently subscribed to the BT Fon service, and they had been sending the config emails to this bogus address. I was "on-air" with their tech helpdesk, and the guy sent the email to set it up. He flagged it so that he would know when it got to "my" mailbox. After some arguing that I never got it, he read out the email address he had on his system, and was nothing like the correct email address. I now have the added problem of having to set up a new account with GM until BT sort themselves out. After a series of problems with BT, it's now only a matter of time before they screw up once more, and I will happily take my phone and broadband services elsewhere.

I agree with your comment. however, BT cannot sort this. they told me that they have not ben trained in this product.they keep pointing me in the direction of an outside agency who can resolve this for a fee. Now, I am curious to know what I pay my phone bill for.

It doesnt really matter because GoMessenger will be removed tomorrow.
