For once, I personally don't believe this Go!Messenger had a chance, right from the beginning. It had several terrible flaws that made it impossible for any serious use:
You had no way of searching for people.
The fewest people would actually go online.
Of these few people, even less would spend their time just going online with the PSP, going Online, just to run a messenger program, because they've surely realised how few other people would do that thing.
I mean, just take a glance at threads in this Go!Messenger forum. There's threads where you post your nickname. That's how desperate some people were, to get any use out of this service. It's that sad?
tore, or even use Skype. For over a year I couldn't even use Skype, because Sony wouldn't sell Remote-Control cables for a loooong time, even though it was needed to connect up a headset to the PSP, and the Slim & Lite Pack didn't include one.
I would've loved to add my friends, and have good chat once in a while. Or leave messages. Alas, it was not to be. Once the PSP can be setup to be connected to these services while playing games, these added services will find their uses. Until then, I'm afraid the only people who use them are those who go online on a forum and exchange contacts just to hear a strangers voice squaking out of their PSP speakers. I can perfectly understand some of the fascination with the technical aspects of this, but it's all lost on the broad audiences.
Yes, if they ever come up with an alternative, please make it usable while playing game at least. Or minimized to the background.
PSP is first for playing games, not talking on Go!Messenger. No one's going to turn on their PSP just to talk on Go!Messenger.
Go!Messenger was a good feature, but flawed in concept.
well go messenger is ***** now y not put facebook on all psp
