I haven't been playing GTA for almost 6 months, so yesterday I wanted to access Online, but got this message:
"Alert: The Rockstar game services are unavailable right now. Please return to Grand Theft Auto V."
It doesn't seem like anyone else on my list is having this problem, as they're playing online.
I have gotten this message for 2 days now, so I wonder if I missed some kind of update since I haven't been playing for so long. Any help?
I know this might seem a stupid question did the ILL Gotten Gains patch update download for you? It's strange how it's not working for you I hope you find a fix for it and get to play it.I know there was a patch to fix some manor graphical issues and that was 1.10. and we are now on patch 1.11 for PS4 hope this helped a bit.
True Fritches I wonder if could be a problem with the update I know a friend is who having problems to the heist tutorial issue which Rockstar said they fixed so some of the patch could be corrupted the only other piece of advice is Mia could wait for the next patch update which drops in a few days 8th July and see if it works then.
I assume it has for her otherwise she wouldnt be able to load the game up and try accessing online.
If not contact R*'s twitter. They helped me when i couldnt get online recently and quickly too. They responded quicker with a ticket and twitter than ticket ticket waiting for an email.
Thanks Fritches, restarting my router didn't do the trick, so I'll try contact them, hopefully they can do some magic - I doubt I'm the only one with this problem.
Sadly, the problem has not been fixed. I contacted them on twitter, and they sent me this:
I've been going through all the things on that page, and my connection is perfectly fine, my downloading/uploading speed is higher than it has to be. The only thing i haven't tried, is to connect my PS4 to an internet cable, but that has never been the issue before, i have always used wireless.
The new updated just finished installing, but the problem is still the same.
I really don't get it
Try resetting your online data ( this will just reset settings such as brightness and your connection type it will not delete your online progress ) by pressing down R1 and L1 simultaneously during the loading splash screen after the Story Mode option has dissappeared from the screen.
If that don't work try deleting the game profile off your PS4 ( Just the profile nothing else ).
The resetting trick didn't help either, its so weird.
Will I risk losing any progress/character stuff by deleting my game profile? And where exactly do I delete it? Just to make sure I don't do something wrong, and delete some important
We will get there eventually :p
Nope, if you delete the profile only you wont loose your saves.
To do this go to:
Settings> Application Save Data Management > Saved Data in System Storage > Delete > GTA V. Now delete the one that says profile.
Once done run GTA again.
You won't loose any Online character's etc. Because all you have to do is log back into Social Club.
If you really want to go back on GTA, I'd go for it. Otherwise as you said, It's useless.
I would if i could, but I don't have an internet cable .. Well, I have this really short one somewhere, but most of my apartment is currently packed down in boxes, moving to a new place next week - so I don't think I'm gonna find it anytime soon lol. I have sent a request to Rockstar support this morning though, hopefully they can tell me whats wrong.
Rockstar keeps telling me its my connection, so I finally dug up the cable and tried to connect my PS4. I still have the same problem, so I guess I might as well just sell the game, as it's pretty useless now :(
Have you tried setting up a DMZ or opening the firewall ports for PSN and the one's listed further down for GTA online in the Rockstar support article?
