Here's a place to discuss the latest money grab from Disney.
Doesn't look very good tbh.
If Star Wars is no longer the hit it used to be then I wonder what that means for every other film below it in the top grossing films list.
Which is every other film ever made other than Avatar and Titanic.
Im sure Disney are more than happy with having 3/4 of their SW films being huge hits.
Disney are never happy
Clickbait articles are alive and well shocker! That shot of the empty Chinese red carpet, lol. Of course, when it started it was a bit more full.
One should never believe everything you read on the internet, even if it goes along with what you want to be truth. I'm sure Disney are looking at what happened with Solo, release date being a major part of that. I'm sure they're looking at how to make sure they improve upon it.
I'm also sure they do that with every thing they do, which is why they're so successful.
Confirmation bias is the tendency to search for, interpret, favour, and recall information in a way that confirms on'es preexisting beliefs or hypotheses, and with today's society mixed with global social media it's more prevalent than ever before.
I just searched star wars
It’s absurd to me that a movie making $103m domestic in 4 days is classed as “bombing” purely because of its title. If you steered clear of Solo then you’ve seriously passed up a good time.
Also, blonde Wookie 'tis my mate :D
It's pulled in half it's cost to make.
Cinema gross is front loaded, like infinity war made like 1.5 billion in first 2 weeks and in the following 2 weeks it made a fraction of that.
Same with Deadpool etc.
Basically they need them to break even at least in the first 2 weeks.@LordRoss
Indeed. As a fan, it could've made a dollar and I'd be happy with it as long as it was good.
Even looking at the total gross of the top 20 films recently released, Solo dwarfs most of them. It'll make it's money back eventually from theatre and home release.
