I was wondering if i can put my current ps plus membership on a different account I made a new account because my old username was cringey but i still have ps plus on that for another like 10 months so it would be really helpful if i could put it on this account and not my old account
No, you can't. Content licences CANNOT be transfered from one account to another.
You can keep the Plus Account going for the 10 months, make it a Primary Account.
Being a Primary, it can share those benefits of Plus to your New Account (play online with it), use any FREE Plus Games that the old Account has purchased etc etc.
Make them both Primary.
Don't forget to turn the Automatic Renewal to OFF. If you don't you will be billed again as it's a rolling Subscription. Delete all the funding sources off the Account also.
Any Free Plus games will end with the old Account when the Subscription ends (if you download and play any). You need an active Subscription to access them.
Say I have ps plus games, some downloaded some not, on one account, but then I make a new account. The subscription ends on the old account but I get the subscription for the new account. Will I be able to download and play the ps plus games that were on the old account on the new account?@S2N-Ava
You need to renew the Subscription to the Purchasing Account that previous purchased them. The Licence key is with the purchasing Account, you cannot swap the Plus Subscription to another Account and still have access to them.@SeizZe-the-Day
yeah i think the same playstation listen make every account on one console have ps plus if plz
also my other account is rubbish my dad put everything by his name
play station you better have done what i told you if you dont let ps plus to be shared to different accounts i will be angry
PlayStation let PlayStation plus be used on different accounts and Xbox does that so if you want to be better than Xbox the let PS plus be used on different accounts
so make and update so that other people can use PS plus on a different account
so make an update on the 27th of February.or im switching to Xbox.
Have you been locked up in a dark box for a few years.....
as... the Plus features can be used on different Accounts, you set the Account to Primary.
Any Account on the Console can play the purchased games that Plus buys.
You can play online with the other Accounts. Your other Accounts can buy games and you can play online with them.
The only feature you don't get for non Plus Accounts is the iCloud feature to save the Game Progress.
One more thing you unfortunately can´t access from a non plus account on the same console as a plus account is the plus add-on/discount features. For example I wanted and hoped that my sons non plus account would get the plus featured Fortnite hangglider and skin when I downloaded it with my plus account. But only my plus account had that content within the Fortnite game. When my son started Fortnite from his non plus account he could of course play the game online but he did not have the downloaded plus features within the game. I haven´t found a way to get this to work. It would make sense if all created accounts or at least family accounts (to think of like sub accounts) would get ALL the plus features on one console as long as the features have been downloaded to the console by a plus account.@S2N-Ava
In games items such skins, weapons and in game currency etc are service items and are locked to a single account.@williamvii
An Account that purchases the Plus Subscription gets ALL the benefits that the Subscription offers.
1. Access to Online Play
2. Cloud Storage
3. Discounts from the PS Store
4. FREE Monthly Games
Now, if you make this Account Primary, it can share 1 & 4 from the list above for as long as the Subscription is active. 2 & 3 are for the Plus Account only.
Any Account whether it has purchased the Plus Subscription or not can purchase Games, DLC, Season Passes etc. (Sub Accounts will have some restrictions). But only an Account that is set to Primary can share. Some items like @mont348 has mentioned will be locked to the Purchasing Account, there is no way to share those items.
Normally, if you read the Contents description in the PS Store and see something marked as "Exclusive", you can pretty much guarantee that it will be locked to the Purchasing Account. Some may not, it can vary from game to game.
It can get a bit complex...
I have a game "Assetto Corsa" and I purchased the Season Pass for this... Everything in that package was completely open to all my Accounts, even across Regional Accounts. Even with all our knowledge from this Forum, I would have guessed that the Regional Access would be a No No, but it worked... So, there are some exceptions to the rule.
Can someone clarify this ---
I have 2 kids playing fortnight on my PS4 on sub accounts and my account is the primary account.
The free fortnite skins are only available on my primary account.
Are you telling me, that if my kids want these skins, I have to purchase 2 seperate playstation plus accounts, one for each one of them. That sounds a little bit ridiculous considering we have 1 PS4.
There's nothing that can be done here. The product is for the PS+ subscriber. I don't think child accounts can have a PS+ subscription anyway, so they wouldn't be able to subscribe. You can try using one of the trials with their accounts, then "purchase" this pack, but again, I don't think child accounts can get PS+
So i have solution for you. You go to kids accounts and start free trials (its something like 2days but the time does not matter) and then you purchase these free skins and even tho the trials end these skins are still on the accounts. Sorry for but english but hope you got it :)@traubgator
I want to ask how can I switch my current account with the PS PLUS (address of Malaysia) to an another account (address of US)?
First reply says as much.
The other replies show how to still utilise it with other accounts on the console.@JackLiau1234
