So I bought PS VR today.
After connecting everything I run some demos from attached BR, after less than hour headset went black. PU off, no led light, nothing. I disconnected everything waited for 30 minutes.
After connecting everything once again, everything booted, white led on PU, etc. after turning on headset PU went blank after 10 seconds.
Disconnecting cables and reconnecting them doesn't work. PU looks like dead.
I tried once again disconnecting, waiting, reconnecting. Same again. PU turns on and stays on until I turn on headset, few seconds later PU is turned off. No led light, no video signal.
Anyone got some similar issues? My unit was powered on less than an hour.
Exactly the same issue. Worked for 15 minutes and then black screen. No light on processor unit. Ps4 works if I bypass the VR, feels like it's issue with pu unit.
I opened mine this morning. It worked maybe 15 minutes after initial set up and then this happened. Now the processor unit won't even turn on for me. No lights no signal nothing.
Cam you try to disconnect everything, even power supply from the outlet and wait for 30 minutes or so and then reconnect everything as per qs guide ?
For me after that operation PU turns on but as soon as I turn on headset and run any game, PU immediately turns off.
Done all of that. Unplugged everything, left it off overnight and still nothing. No lights. Ps4 is fine, just the PU and headset won't power on. Tried other sockets etc
Pretty same for me. It is just mine PU is powering up after some time I reconnect. But also not always. Still can not use it.
I wonder if it could be just faulty power supply for PU.
Anyway, that is the most annoying thing you can get on Christmas.
Edit: fixed typo, in "Still can not use it" (was: Still can use it)
I have the exact same issue. Usually the PU turns on but then pretty quickly shuts down. No light no nothing. Sometimes I might get lucky and be able to play almost an hour. But more often then not it shuts down completely soon after powering up. Sometimes it doesn't even power up at all.
Anyone find a solution to this.my pu will be red when ps4 goes into restore but soon as I turn it on it blinks white once or twice then just dies.contacted support and they were useless.basically just said send the pu back with 300 dollars to be replaced as its out of warranty.not very impressed as paid 700 dollars for this and amazed you cannot buy individual parts.
Could it be a possibility that one of the HDMI cables is faulty, resulting in the PU just switching off? Just a thought and maybe worth a try
@pearlo81I am having the same problem. Just bought a new power supply through Amazon to see if it cures the problem. If not it is a processor issue and I will have to pay So y to replace it.
