PSVR works great, I have all the cords setup correctly (checked 4 times), however the graphics controller is not sending a signal to the TV so I can view what's going inside the PSVR visor simultaneously.
Okay so ive had the same problem aswell but, I tired two different ps4s one made in july 2014 and one made in september 2014. The one made in july does not display any video on tv at all. I tiried for about 2 hours to get it to work and nothing changed. For the ps4 made in spetember as soon as i plugged everything in, it booted up right away, most likely gonna have to wait for ps4 to push an update to users
Not work on my Model CUH-1004A, whitch model of ps4 you tried?@Zjardine99
I played yesterday without any problem. Today I played again and but the graphic controller is not sending signal to TV anymore....
Another clue as to what may be going on....
I got the following error on my Tivo after switching inputs from my PS4:
"The copyright holder of this video does not allow it to be viewed on an unsecured device connected with an HDMI cable. If you were trying to watch this video using an HDMI cable connected to a TV, that TV is not correctly supporting HDCP (HD copy protection) and you will need to switch to using a different cable."
Never got this error before using the PSVR on that TV.
I had the same problem yesterday. I tried switching the hdmi cord I already had with the one that came with the vr. Once I did that the vr itself would not work so I figured it was a problem with my old hdmi cord I got from Amazon, I then replaced it with one I found that looked just like the hdmi cord that came with the PSVR after that it came up on the tv just fine. I think the hdmi cord has to be 2.0 or something, I don't really know. I hope this helps!
Mine won't get picture in tv with the new 2.0 cable bit there is a interresting thing when psvr is working i can unplug the tv hdmi and i dont effect anything when i put it back only snowing and black in tv! I need help@Snoopymacsoup
We should bay PS4Pro, thats the tactic from Sony to make money! :D
It's not healthy to get this hyped, and then let down this hard.
You've disappointed so many of your loyal enthusiasts, Sony.
Now I'm angry and bitter, I hope you make this right for us!
We have been playing psvr for a few hours now and all of a sudden the tv goes black but the sound is still coming through. Tried new high end hdmi cable but no change.
panasonic non-smart tv, plasma.
whats up sony?
Same issue here. I have the Vader edition console. I've tried 4 different HDMI cables in different combinations, and even different ports on my TV, but no dice. The VR itself works fine, just no output from the processor to the TV.
I am having the same issue. HDMI cord works fine from ps4 to TV, as soon as I introduce the processor box I get no signal. Very frustrating as we were told this would work and now I have to remove the vr processor box and 2nd HDMI cable when we are done with the VR so we can use the ps4 again normally. I would not even mind missing the secondary display of the vr on the TV while playing if the system would at least switch back to the TV display when the VR set is off and cradled. But the extra frustration of having to disconnect and connect everything each time I want to swap back and forth is super annoying.
That is the very same problem i have completly!
Hoping they give us a fix soon. Do you have an older early edition PS4? I do and read another user who has an older and newer PS4 (by manufacturer date) reported his older ps4 does exactly what mine does and his newer one works fine. That's disheartening, for over $600 dollars dropped after games and accessories I'd hope they give us a firmware patch to address this very quickly.@SamFinland87
Same here. Been using it for a week now with no problems. Suddenly it just stopped outputting to TV, but still displaying in headset. Only way I can get TV to work is to connect direct to PS4, without VR processor. Even within the VR headset, the person playing it kept asking if I unhooked them. Not sure why everyone keeps thinking they need to update the TV firmware. That sounds like a classic manufacturer "Not It" excuse.@lAmTheLiquor
I have a 4x2 True Matrix HDMI splitter (for reference, http://www.monoprice.com/product?p_id=6415) that I've used for quite some time with no issue. It takes the inputs and lets me selectively send them to 2 outputs, my samsung tv and an ASUS computer monitor. Never had an issue since using the VR. For curiosity, I took that out of the loop and cables directly from the processor to the TV and TV came back.
I did turn the Xbone on and send that output to the monitor. Can't recall the timing if that is when the problem happened. Either way, may want to eliminate devices between VR and TV, such as a receiver or splitter, for a test. I plan on connecting the splitter back later to verify.@lAmTheLiquor
I get intermittent display. I get some of the image but then I get static. I'm stuck on this too.
I am experiencing this issue as well. All my connections are correct and firmware is up to date on all devices. I get home today and the Playstation is not displaying images nor the PSVR as well. It was working fine since I've had the PSVR product, today however, it does not work. I attempted to remove the PSVR, and connect the PS4 directly to the TV. There is still no signal, it is not the cable, as I have other appliances I have tested them out. After physical troubleshooting, I determined the cause of the issue is the PS4 itself. The PSVR still can display from another HDMI input (I used an Apple TV). The Cables and TV inputs are fine, the Playstation itself is not giving out the signal.
How can this be fixed?
I Fixed the problem.
What I did was make sure all my devices were turned off. I removed the HDMI cable from my PS4. I waited about 30 seconds after I turned off my PS4. I turn on my devices after I turned on the PS4, I plug in the HDMI cable and I got the display running again.
THANK YOU! ... Good lord I was looking everywhere for a fix and all I could find was complaints. Same thing worked for me, so thank you thank you thank you.@Octavius_Perez
