Take a look at the fantastic features of PlayStation Vita that will change the way you play.
Almost every upcoming title on PS Vita makes use of the system's stunning 5 inch OLED touchscreen. With a touch of a finger you can guide Nathan Drake over rocks, bridges and cliffs by selecting the path you want him to follow in the action-packed Uncharted Golden Abyss.
You can also use your finger to line up and pot balls with amazing accuracy in pool sim Hustle Kings. Both simple and intuitive, the touchscreen on PS Vita allows you to explore amazing scenery and interact with your favourite PlayStation games.
Rear touch pad
The rear touch pad opens up a whole world of new possibilities in portable gaming, whether you're using it to push pesky Little Deviants around a tricky obstacle course or sculpt breathtaking racetracks in ModNation Racers. It's easy to use too: simply press against the rear touch pad and watch in awe as your fingers create cool effects on the game you're playing.
Do you ever dream of starring in a game? With the PS Vita system's front camera you can make your dreams a reality. All you have to do is scan your face using the front camera and become part of the action in Reality Fighters, then watch yourself battle opponents in famous locations. Feeling sporty? Upload your picture to the Virtua Tennis 4 menu screen and hit the court to personally take on legendary players.
The rear camera is perfect for augmented reality experiences on the move such as Reality Fighters. Once you've created your brawler using the front camera, point your PS Vita wherever you want to fight and let the battle begin. Using the PS Vita system's rear camera you can fight your opponent in the street, the office or even on the beach - everywhere is a potential arena in Reality Fighters. You can also use the rear camera to scan items to use in-game including accessories for Sackboy in the highly anticipated LittleBigPlanet on PS Vita.
The future really is here: command your game using the built-in microphone on PlayStation Vita. Yes, you read that right. Your voice is in control. In WipEout 2048, you can talk to the on-board computer to fire voice-activated weapons at opponents, or sing to the cheeky critters in the hilarious Little Deviants to earn stacks of points.
What to do? Stay in and play or head out on the move? Worry no more; your problems have been solved with CrossPlay. You'll be able to take your PS Vita system wherever you are and blast through an amazing online multiplayer mode in WipEout 2048. Go up against seven of your friends on either PlayStation 3 or PS Vita via PlayStation Network.
Dual analog sticks
One of the coolest and most anticipated features of PlayStation Vita are the dual analog sticks. With two analog sticks you'll be able to experience epic first person shooter series such as Killzone, Resistance and Call of Duty on the move. With PS Vita and its dual analog sticks, you'll never miss a target, no matter where you are.
PS Vita titles feature fun-filled creation tools that you'll want to share with friends and other players around the world. Using GPS, you'll be able to create combatants in Reality Fighters and leave them anywhere you like for other players to find. You'll also be able to clock up plenty of ModMiles in ModNation Racers by visiting real locations and checking your score on location-based leaderboards.
The built-in motion sensor in the PS Vita system is the perfect way to immerse yourself in all the excitement, drama and thrill of a great range of upcoming PS Vita title in 2011. Move PS Vita to steer your ship around the sharpest corners in WipEout 2048, scan the fairway in Everybody's Golf and zoom in on enemies using a sniper scope in Uncharted Golden Abyss.
PS Vita promises so many different ways to share all your gaming experiences with friends and other players around the world. Firstly, you can connect with friends online on both PS Vita and PS3 via PlayStation Network. Secondly, if you want to get everyone involved in your gaming session then try Pass Around mode in games like Little Deviants. It's the best way to get everyone in on the action.
PlayStation Network Connectivity
PS Vita will have full access to PlayStation Network, which means you'll be able to download brand new games, demos and loads of other great content. You'll also be able to connect with friends and compete against them online. The best part? PlayStation Network is totally free to sign up to.
