Whilst attempting to update my Ps3 to the latest firmware ,the update process was interrupted and the console went into an update loop. Following several online recommendations I formatted the Ps3 hard drive using my PC and also created a USB stick with the update firmware. My problem now is that the ps3 doesn't boot with the hdd inserted and as soon as I try to switch it on it powers on briefly before switching off with a flashing red light. When I remove the hdd the system powers up normally until it gives the error that appropriate storage has not been found. I have tested the hdd on the PC and I have been able to transfer files to and from it without a problem so am not sure that it has failed. Please assist.
Try another HDD and see what happens.
That's definitely in the pipeline - was just hoping to get a solution that doesn't require me to spend anything upfront :)@OrdosAlpha
doesn't boot to safe mode too (to update from there)?
I have not been able to boot into Safe mode with this machine even after trying several times
I have the same problem with the same things done. Nothing to do now .. Is there a way to fix this??
