Embedded Nakatsu's vid ;)

If you're using a fat PS3, plugging it in and holding down eject for 15 seconds should force the disk to eject. If you're still not able to free it then call Customer Support and they should be able to help you with a replacement and getting your disk back. (I'd suggest you avoid mentioning it fell, but that'd be naughty :P)

It's a slim, so there's a manual disk ejection option. There's a small hatch on the base, removal of which reveals a screw. Turning this screw (It think anti-clockwise) will slowly push the disk out.

If confuzzled, looky here --> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C-lfUEUNIS8

Thanks hun. I'm far too thick to do that myself :)

With the original model, it depends largely on the nature of the fault as to whether the disk eject instruction is recognised and actioned by the drive before the PS3's OS decides to shut power off again.
