NO ONE’S AGE CAN BE CHANGED!
How is this thread still a thing?
Yup, it's annoyingly the Laws of Nature, you cannot change the day you were born!!
Its a fixed moment in time.
Why would Sony allow a date to be changed when it's impossible to do so in real life??
That’s a stupid response. I wouldn’t have set my age as what it was if I knew it would keep me from having an enjoyable experience on ps. Idk why it matters that I’m not 18. So what! Why can’t i play 18 plus games those are just a suggestion so game developers have an easy way to deflect angry parents. IT’S NOT LAW! It prevents me from redeeming gift cards that I purchased and can’t return. These age restrictions are retarded. Playing a game that has a age rating above the person playing is not the same as under aged drinking. Having restrictions based on recommendations that can’t be changed is stupid. I can’t even leave the family until I’m 18. The family manager never even plays and now I’m stuck with $120 of unredeemable gift cards. Ur stupid bratty response is not helping anyone. PlayStation should never have made family management a thing. It cause more problems then it’s good for. Age restrictions should be optional not mandatory.@S2N-Ava
Complain to your government who choose the age restrictions in place for your country. Nothing to do with anyone else@cowboys_57
The age restrictions are not law. And I think it’s pretty stupid that PlayStation is keeping me from buying and playing these games even if I’m allowed to in my country.@WhiteMonkey88
Having the same issue, I’ve tried for my son’s sub account to change “Age Level for Games” many times, but it’s still not possible for my son to play Fortnite with his own user due to age restrictions. I have logged in with my PS4 console (restarted the console including unplugged the power) and logged in to my account with my pc.
And I’m not able to delete my son sub account, have tried all possibilities, to create a new account with different aob. Running version 5.55.
I payed $34 so I could get Fortnite and I also payed $50 of psn so I could get vbux ***** can someone help me
Not here, you would have to call your Local Support!!@Swaggersoulsss
OlOk, I don't wanna change my age, but I'm jut wondering if my age is the reason I can't stream, if so I'll just make a new account
This is very silly, so I have to wait until the account turns 18 before my account can play an 18+ game online? Even with all the restrictions off? Baring in mind if I go on Xbox and turn off all the restrictions, I have no problem playing 18+ games online? Thank god I bought a One over a PS4 when they came out, I would've been fuming having to make an account and wait 3+ years to be able to play online whether as on the other console, if all the restrictions are off, I can do anything, very backwards, Sony shouldn't be taking control on anything if restrictions are off, nor are they required to by law as Xbox doesn't
I finally got my issues fixed with Disney Infinity for my son. Was having the same issues as you. I had to log into the online account from my pc and change his age filtering for online content to off. and then I had to power OFF the ps4. Once it was all the way powered down with no lights, I was able to power back on, load the game, and he was able to play. Hope this helps.@sG_Agonize
after login it will ask you to link your sony account
you can change birthday there
you can do it once, so be carefull changing it =D
Won't allow you to login as it detects that the account belongs to a minor...@anticdesi2
Don't waste your time...
A PSN Account's DOB cannot be changed..
All these Services offered by Sony have Terms of Service attached to them... You can change the Date at MobileSony but each element of the Sony Service have their own Terms of Service.
I've tested this DOB fully concerning the PSN Account.. it's unchanged.
If you select DOB for the Verification factor, it will only work with the original date used.
The only benefit of MobileSony is to check for the DOB used..
And this is a recent addition as many of the Privacy Laws have been changing recently.
DOB was a hidden feature before and the only other way to check the DOB was through a Game called 'GT Sport' where during signing up to online play, the DOB was visible.
Hi my son lives with his mother but I got his account as parental but I want to take it off because he needs ps plus to play with his friends I have been trying to work out how to take it of but there is no way
You don't need to remove the account as parental to have your son get ps4 plus. He can get ps4 plus like any other purchase on the ps4 store. That is how I have it set up on my account. I am the master account, and my son is a sub account and we both have separate ps4 plus subscriptions. When your son turns 18, he can upgrade his account to a master account (see link below). But like I said, this is not required fo him to get a ps4 plus subscription.
UK based - Our new PS4 Slim COD IIII bundle does NOT have the option to set "Age Filtering for Online Content" as referenced here -->
even following the *1 referral link from that page shows no additional regional information as to why this setting is not available, I can find no online references either.
I have logged a support call.
