My PS4 Pro has been in a trouble for a month!
My TV is not UHD yet, and my PS4 Pro super hard to load game graphic, it seems like the framerate is dropped to 1fps. To load a graphic scene it need like 2-3 seconds.
First I think it was because of MHW game I was playing since it was a sudden struck. After that, I tried some solutions but none of them works, include the options in Safe Mode, except option #7, Reinitialize PS with Software Installation.
I decided to give up and tried other game which is Crash and no problem at all and I can finish the game without any issue.
Then I gave a chance to try Uncharted A Thief End, and ok it doesn't work too. My PS4 even got crash with CE-34878-0!
Today, I hope to get a luck by doing option #7 in Safe Mode, but unfortunately, it still doesn't work!
Anyone has ever faced this before and mind to share your solution?
Note:
If I try to force myself to enter the game, the game will suffer more.
Update:
Just now I tried to play Uncharted: A Thief's End and it seems fine. Do you guys have any other high resolution game for me to test? I owned HZD but unfortunately I don't have it near me now.
You've initialized using option 7 and the full system software on a usb stick and it and it still does the same?
Any chance of some video?
It could be a problem with the hdd, though there are other things that might cause it.
Is the console in a well ventilated position?
Hi Oran_Gina, yes the console is well ventilated and also get direct breeze from aircon. Just that, I rarely clean the dust :(
Option #7 still does not give any luck for me. What do you mean by video? Is it like try to load some Youtube 4k video?
@Oran_GinaNo I mean record what you're seeing on a mobile phone, upload to youtube or wherever and post it here. there's an icon when you're typing a reply to add video url so we can see what you're seeing.
Oh sorry, ok I will upload it soon!
By the way, coincidentally, this strike occured when Sony and MHW just released Software update in some days difference only around 25th October 2018 and it's not too long after I received an invitation inside MHW from stranger.
But I guess if there is a corruption in HDD, option #7 should be able to fix it?
@Oran_GinaI'd say your hard disk was on the way out, I'd think about replacing it sooner rather than later whilst you can still make a backup
If you are still using the original drive it would be a good opportunity to upgrade to a 2Tb drive anyway
No one? :(
Two people have suggested it could be your hdd; me before you posted the video (which seems to bear it out) and @VillanCaustic in the post directly above yours.
@VillanCaustic @Oran_Gina I don't think it is HDD issue since I have done #7 and Rebuild Database which should fix the HDD corruption, unless the whole HDD fails.
New Update:
Uncharted: A Thief's End does not work now, but GOW III Remastered is fine.
It sounds like my PS4 Pro only cannot load very high resolution game.
HDDs DO fail. It's very possible yours is. That's we we're both suggesting that maybe you need to think about changing it.
Options 5 and 7 in safe mode will delete corrupt data for sure, but they won't fix a dying hdd, so as soon as you start putting data back on, it will experience problems again.
The very fact options 5 and 7 have not led to a lasting fix is why we both suggested the hdd is on it's way out.
As @VillanCaustic mentioned, now might be a good time to make a backup, or at least back up your saves and other important files/videos/screen grabs before it completely dies on you.
@caborg19Ok thanks.
Yesterday I updated to System Software 6.20 and last week updated MHW too, also didn't fix the issue. So high chance it's a Hardware failure, despite only 1.5 year usage and I am not an intense player.
