I really found this annoying but finally fixed it the first thing I did was blow into the L2 and at first nothing happend then I noticed that the L3 lag was fixed after that I then went to Devices and clicked controllers in settings menu and went down to communication method and then kept on pressing on bluetooth and went back in game and it worked hope it works for you two don't know if it's permanent tho
Same here :/
no fix so far
@Sony, what are you doing to help your customer?
Hell, I had same problem with ds3 before and now with ds4. Once I hit it hard on the ground and problem was solved... yeah, 4 few days, lol. I ve read that motion sensor might b resposible. SONY goddamit, you wont fix this ***** and im getting Switch next year. So long.
I had the same problem as described by OP. Also the left joystick was glitchy for upwards. It seems to me that those 2 errors are connected. I dissasembled the controller. Removed the wiper of the y-axis poti and cleaned it with vinegar and cleaning alcohol. Then wiped all buttons (including those at L2) and connectors with q-tips with cleaning alcohol. After assembling everything works as brand new now. Will update if error occurs again.
How about Sony use decent components and people don’t have to take things apart?@Feldwegpilot
My L2 button is not aiming for a shoot while playing unchartered... how can I fix this control..help please.
In fortnite, when I press my l2 trigger the character starts aiming but if I leave the trigger the character well still continue to aim until and unless I press X
Pressing L2 drifts cursor/reticle up. I cannot find a fix for the life of me, controller us pretty new and damage free.
2018 and this problem is still persistent. I've had two of these ps4 pro controllers L2' die on me. One just became unresponsive, and the other is mapped to the left triggers upward movement. EXTREMELY FRUSTRATING!!
It's the left analog stick I think.. I move mine slightly down and press l2 it doesn't move up anymore.. but to be constantly pressing slightly down is a pain in the butt.. buy a new controller.. problem solved..
same my conntroller messes up in games involving a character and my l2 is the worst
So I have read whole thread because my dualshock 4 v2 had the same issue (i also have cuh-zct1e which works perfectly fine and is 2y older). My warranty has just gone so i decided to take actions myself.
I fixed it.
The problem was in up/down sensor
I just cleaned it and so far it works.
Yeah we’ve already been through this. It doesn’t fix the whole problem.@Sarin1337
Try holding down your L2 button and blowing into the crack of it while your controller is facing towards the ground worked for me
This is frustrating, but I'm glad to see I'm not the only one [far from it actually] to have had this problem. I have a first gen PS4, got it in February 2014, and both the controller it came with and a blue one that I bought in April 2014 still work perfectly fine. It's whenever I use the PS4 Slim/PS4 Pro DualShock 4 models [3rd gen I believe] is when I have this problem. Will there be any type of reimbursement if this issue isn't fixed? 'Cause this is disappointingly terrible that it as happened as often as it has, to all of these loving customers. It's irresponsible to not even address that there is an issue at all.
