My parents will move apart and I will have one PS4 in each place, will I be able to play the same game on both consoles or will I have to buy 2 games? Also, will I be able to play on my account on one PS4 while my brother plays on his account on the other PS4?
One PS4 will have to be activated as primary the other can't be. Providing the PS4 that is not active has internet access then you can sign in and play your games fine. However, Your account can't be signed into on both consoles at the same time. Your brother will need to have his own account if you plan on playing together online.
Can we play the same game at the same time then?@ocelot07
Do you mean the digital title that you own on your account? Then yes but your account must be present and the PS4 set as primary. Your brother won't have to do anything special. Just sign into his own account and he should be able to play the game.
As for your self. You can't have 2 PS4's set as primary on your account. So you will have to be connected to the internet to play your digital games. The downside is if you was to lose internet access you won't be able to play any of your digital games.@ifkarvid
But you can play the game on the same time with diffrent accounts?
Please answer me
To be clear. If you have 2 PS4 consoles in the same household. Only 1 account requires to buy a game and a PS+ Subscription. As they can activate the account on one PS4. Any other account on that PS4 will be able to share the games and PS+ subscription. The user with the account that owns the content will be able to play their purchased games on the other PS4 at the same time provided they are connected to the internet.@Razixggg1
Do I still have My game achievements on the New ps4?@ocelot07
Providing you sign in with the same account and sync up your trophies on the old PS4 then yes one you log in and sync your trophies on the new PS4 they will appear.@TageM2
I just got a PS4 for Christmas I signed into my dad's account cuz there's two PS4s in the house and when he is on Netflix and I want to play fortnite it will not let me how do I fix it@Razixggg1
If you're logged into your own account you can download and play any of your digital content on either console.
If you use an external hard drive as extended storage, you can take that with you and play any games you have installed on it as long as you're logged into your account.
If I were to have a friend's account on my PlayStation and I have my account as primary, would my friend get the PlayStation Plus benefits that I have? Another question, can we both play at the same time on the same game but on different consoles?
They would YES.. but it's also against the Terms of Service to do so..
You are only Permitted to use this Activation Primary if you BOTH live together under the same location.
If you are not, then Sony will detect it and Ban you both for Game Sharing. Sony do monitor their Network.. it will be like sending up a Signal Flare.
You would then lose the Digital Games as when the Account is banned, you have no more access to any content that you have purchased.
Think carefully about what you want..
Carry on if you want to run the risk of loosing everything for both you and your Friend.
Don't forget, your Friend will need to know the Sign In details etc... there is nothing stopping your Friend from changing any of these bits of information and basically locking you out of the Account.. and Friends do this on a regular basis.
You can use the SHARE Button from the Controller to Game Share, that is the Legal way of Game Playing together.
it's a nuisance when you have one set as primary all your ps plus benefits will only work automatically on the primary ps4 like auto upload game saves, on the secondary account you will have to do it manually.
To be honest, you don't really want to just rely on the Cloud to save Game Progression.. You are just asking for trouble, especially over a Wi-Fi connection.
Anything valuable and you will be wanting to keep it, and keep it on external USB Sticks is your best options... I do both, upload to Cloud and keep an extra copy off the Console.
I'd never fully trust the Cloud. Only takes a few minutes to save off Console.
But why ? Please let me know where in the code of conduct or ToS that is being stated.
Don't take it please as a negative remark or a passive aggressive behavior but I would like to find as well. Couldn't find it myself.
Thank you in advance.@S2N-Ava
I've read the Terms of Service so often, but it doesn't actually really state that..
It's kinda put in a different context..
It mentions that you are NOT permitted to give out Account details to anyone else etc.
And we all know from the Forum that giving out Sign In details to Friends from different locations WILL get the Accounts banned when discovered.
I'll have another look when I've some free time.. Sony do update these Terms quite often.@Phteve-the-Rock
I was able to find this. " All users should safeguard their Account sign-in ID and password. Do not share your sign-in ID and password with others, and take steps to prevent access to your Account by other persons on any shared devices. We have no liability for any unauthorized usage of any Account."
It is just stated that they are not responsible not that it is punishable. NOW, IF you abuse it to call support and ask to reset and cheat the system I get it to be punished, but not for enjoying with a friend...
Yeah.. I'll have another read at some point..
Either way, it's wrong to pass on details to Game Share and we have plenty of examples of people posting in this Forum about getting banned for Game Sharing.
Trying reading the Help Files as well.. that is a good source of information@Phteve-the-Rock
Game sharing with a friend who doesn't live at the same address will result in a ban for game sharing when caught.
I have seen it hundreds of times on these forums over the past 10 years where users are complaining about being unfairly banned, they contact support for the reason why and get told that it down to game sharing.@Phteve-the-Rock
