4oD has now been updated and is now an application instead of a website. Need to download from the My Channels section again.
its a 720p mirror of there java script web site now..
36MB down load... so the template is custom layout...
Again it shows signs of the App launcher first released with Iplayer from the BBC and Demand5
unlike demand 5 the adverts allready work.
IF you have a PVR its still better to directly record the Shows but if its catch up your after as you forgot to set up for a show then youll need this app...
NO HD switch so if your on wifi you should expect quailty to suck as most auto speed select scripts Fail badly....
The app will not over write the old bookmark... you will need to manualy erase it.. If you click on the wrong one the Closed site will tell you this...
Ps3 browser users might want to keep the old one on the xmb.
Currently the only way to clear the cache is whilst on that site, as it still uses the old one & cache clearing is disabled in the new browser.

I better give you a quiz :P
Finally about bloody time the original 4OD even with the browser workaround wasn't fit for purpose, I will give the app a full workout later if finally BT get my Hub 4 delivered as promised before switching ISP, no internet for over a week because of BT screw-ups. having to use an old Netgear.
Yet when you click on it, you'll notice there's no orange hdd light flash to indicate it's done anything.
It was disabled sometime around firmware version 4.31 i think.
If you launch the old 4od app & clear the cache, you'll see the hdd light flash.

It might be quicker that's why.
Nope.
I can't be bothered to find the posts, but there were 2 people who had the same problem of bbc iplayer content being out of date.
Clearing the cache in the new browser had no effect but doing so in the old one sorted it out.
edit (can be bothered)

The only way to clear the cache properly nowadays is via rebuild database via safe mode, or hope it clears if you periodically exit the browser which usually shows some HDD light activity. Fingers crossed it shouldn't cause much problems now most of the apps have been updated in recent months.
