Hey All,
Now the store is finally with us, whats your thoughts?
I personally think it's pretty good, films to rent are roughly the same as blockbusters pricing, and some films to buy are only £6.99 so it seems good value to me... (Plus getting a film out without even leaving your house? Can't be bad!)
Its a free service so i think it's spot on, but thats me..... your thoughts??
When you download a movie from Playstation, does it come as just the movie or with extras with Making Of - documentries etc like on a Blu-ray or DVD.
When you buy a film from the store can you delete and redownload it anytime you like, like the game store, because ive heard it only stays on the download list for a couple of days
You can only download it once.( the same as every other movie down load service aka just like iTunes ) It will be removed almost instantly from the download list.

you can not transfer it to any other PS3. And back ups only work on the PS3 motherboard that made them. You need a HDMI Connection for 5.1 audio on very rare titlesmost are 2.1 audio and there only 720p quality, Download speed is max of about 5mb/s no matter how fast your connection. SONY only provides the front door the rest is controlled by the Movie studio provider.
some extra info to preempt your next questions...and no, it's a convenence based service not a replacement for Blu-ray.
ok thx for your reply
i might just stick to renting films from the psn store
wish i read this thread before i paid 11.99 to watch avatar, i thought you could redownload them anytime, i have 2 PS3's, 1 20gig which avatar is on... the other 120 which is in my sitting room on the big tele and i cant redownload it to that PS3 *****.
Ah well that was my first and last purchase from the PS Store, lesson learnt.
i would like to see more movies for renting as i dont like buying a downloaded movie. the movies iv watch from the store iv been really happy with them.
Well if you can you should leave your house to maintain healthy living. As for the prices, I buy DVDs for £3 at Tescos, yes yes the same films you can rent or buy from the PSN store in digital format for more.

I checked the store earlier cause i wanted to watch a film, Shawshank Redemption which is my 2nd best film after The Italian Job (1969). Obviously i have it on DVD but i cannot find it anywhere so i decided to check the PS Movie Store to see if they have it on Blu-Ray and they dont :( One of the greatest films and they dont have it? I may not of looked hard enough but i could not find it anywhere. So what im saying is please whack up Shawshank Redemption on the store.
Now that netflix is available through your ps3 why would i pay £6.99 + for a film when it costs £6.99 for a month of netflix. Also films that been around for ages are not priced logically for example the matrix is £12.99 yet its been on tv loads and i can pick it up on dvd for a couple of quid and its the same quality as SD download its even cheaper to buy on blu ray.
come on sony up your game were all not made of money!!!!!
