Yeehaw!
Well hello there Muley!
This here thread is for you road agents to small talk on the topic of Red Dead Remeption. Use this area for those quick fire discussions which dont deserve an entirely new thread.
Just be sure to keep it clean, this aint no place for running round on the dodge and we'll have necktie socials pretty darn quickly unless you follow our House Rules.
Shindig, anyone?!
For a few Cowboy terms and other spiel - look here.

If anyone is looking for extra friends for the online (I know I will be) feel free to add me. We can have ourselves a necktie social (or just wrestle a bear).
And here's more cowboy slang http://www.legendsofamerica.com/we-slang.html
Now cut dirt and get adding me.

And so it begins hour and hours worth of trying to kill a bear :P
I enjoyed Gun on my ps2 many moons ago. I remember that final mission being tough!
Not played RD Revolver before though.
Roll on tomorrow ! :)
Wasn't Red Dead Revolver originally developed by someone else, but Rockstar picked it up when they hit problems?
I have to confess that I wasn't intending to buy Red Dead Redemption, as I thought it'd be similar to the old game, but it looks amazing!! The thing I missed the most in GTA IV was the wide open spaces of San Andreas.. I used to love driving around Mount Chilliad and Las Venturas, causing chaos in some beautiful scenery, and now it looks like RDR is going to fill that gap. I can't waaaaait!!! :D
Someone left a user review on metacritic claiming to have 100% RDR.. dunno about you guys but if GTA IV is anything to go by, RDR should take weeks to 100%, not a few hours!!
Has anyone heard anything about how long it ACTUALLY takes to 100%?

In terms of the main story line there's roughly 20 hours of single player gameplay. But there's also hundreds of side-missions that aren't part of the main story.
Plus online will keep you busy :p

That's more like it! Having read a lot about activities outside of the story missions, I find it incredibly hard to believe someone 100% RDR in "just over 18 hours"
I bet the multiplayer awards will take 18 hours on their own too! Can't wait!!

I decided to kick a dog yesterday in Armadillo, it yelped and just as a smdgen of guilt came over me it came running and me and bit me in the goolies so i legged it. It ran after be down the town and i stood on a rock, clever little thing coouldnt get me so it ran around and got on the rock and started attacking me again, i got my knife out, killed it and skinned it, this made me get a wanted level and i had to leg it :-S
Was fun :-)
For me, these are the little things that make this game amazing.
I keep losing honour by killing the wrong person or upsetting the lawmen!
I hear gun shots, go looking for trouble to help out, then see someone being chased... First-time I shot the people firing the guns and doing the chasing - WRONG! They were the lawmen! Second time I ran into a similar situation, I shot the guy running away, but then I suddenly had a bounty on me! This meant the lawmen opened fir on me, so I killed them, and then bounty hunters tracked me down! *****?
I'm trying real hard to be a hero rather than a bandit, but I keep doing the wrong thing LOL!
Also, I'm naff with 'Dead Eye' (lvl 1) -> is there a knack to it? Holding L2, R3 & using the LS to aim before hitting R2!!??
lol same happened to me, and the one where the woman asks for help and you get ambushed, i killed her and got -fame.
I'm being very ***** handed so far. Haven't been doing much gaming outside of a little Madden 10 in ages, so I am trying to do a lot of random side-missions and random events to 'get my eye in' for the central storyline.
I too got jumped by that little hussy. I tried to Dead Eye the bad guys and just got capped.... hehehe
All part of the learning curve!
Wild Mummie Oakley has been saddlin' up and ridin' into the sunset on her faithful steed for redemption...but there is no redemption for the wicked, cowboys and cowgirls!
I've developed a gambling problem. Just squandered $300 away. Now I'm completely broke. I had a full house, sevens over tens so I figured I would win. The other jackass had a full house queens over tens.
Oh well... time to go bounty hunting.
